I keep coming back because it's so lovely here. I love that the team make all their own cakes and sweets on the premises and they truly are delicious! I love their high teas and come her for breakfast regularly. It's like visiting good friends after a while you build a great repore and it's nice to be welcomed back. Highly recommend whether for a meal on your own, with friends and family or a celebration. I know they also cater for events and special occasions.

Maleny Cheese has a great selection of different boutique cheeses which are reasonably priced. They have cheese tasting and are more than happy to let you taste any cheeses which aren't currently out for tasting. Meals are also available there however we find it can get busy at certain times, especially if there are bus tours there.

Friendly home cooked food with great coffee( organic and ethically sourced)
I know itâs montville however... $8.50 for a milkshake in a coffee cup is not acceptable, let alone the seafood basket felt like it had half the deep fryers oil in it. The supposed gluten free open chicken sandwich had the lowest quality produce, grey chicken, brown avocado covered in rubbery cheese. Both left feeling sick and ripped off! Do not waste your money here :/As the owner of Mountain Bean I wish to apologize, if your visit with us was not up to your expectations, if you can come back in I'm sure we can address these issues .

We have often visited Poets Cafe.It was consistently good for many years, however, our last few visits have been downright disappointing.Service, quality of food, cleanliness and staff have all deteriorated to the point where we will not be back....despite those beautiful views. Our last visit we took our mum for her birthday. we were a group of 6. We waited and waited and waited for our order to be taken. I eventually had to go to the counter and request someone. Things went downhill from there. A disinterested waitress appeared to take our order...no smile, not at all friendly ...and she was wearing a very dirty apron. It actually looked like she had been cooking. This was appropriate for the kitchen but not to be serving diners. We then waited and waited for our food...40 minutes! The same waitress put everything on the end of the table for us to pass to each other, even though there was plenty of room around the table for her to serve. If this had been a casual cafe, we wouldn't have worried but when you are paying for service, you expect it. I am not sure this girl had any hospitality skills at all, but she sure had attitude! most unpleasant.Food is expensive. I don't mind paying for good food but it is no longer good value!Serving sizes are less, flavour is ordinary and the wait is appalling. We will have to find a new favourite restaurant on our next visit to Montville.

Regret making the decision to eat here. Service ordinary and very slow. I ordered a toasted sandwich and cappuccino. The toasted sandwich is the smallest I have ever seen, I didnât realise bread came in such small slices! The sandwich was dry, the bacon was microwaved and dry also. Hardly any cheese. The cappuccino was lukewarm with revolting artificial cream on top. It took a very long time from ordering to serving. There were only two other couples in the cafe, so not busy. There are many other cafes in Montville with great service and food. I wonât be going back to this cafe.

First time visit for myself, my wife and two others. Service was quick, super friendly with prices spot on. We had Coffee, tea, home made cake and raisin toast. All 100% delicious. Prices spot on. Next time we are coming back for a breakfast. Canât wait. Clean and inviting. Love the gift shop on the side for a little look. Yes, we couldnât resist on getting a trinket or two. Most noticeable was the other patrons smiling and enjoying themselves whilst in the restaurant too. Love the place. Highly recommended. We appreciate the kind words and are glad you and your family enjoyed the food, drinks & giftware. We look forward to having you back for another enjoyable experience.

I booked months in advance and said we were a group of 12 and we were celebrating my mothers 80th birthday. We wanted to be seated to one side and on the terrace as we had heard about the fabulous views. Email communication (I live in France so email was best option) was slow but we finally got confirmation. When we got to Australia I rang to confirm my booking. When we arrived they had put us away from the terrace and on two tables. We were there to celebrate my Mothers birthday so we didn't want to sit at different tables. There was really no excuse to have us at two separate tables - I did make a little fuss and they put them together and we were all comfortable. It would have been nice if they had even said happy birthday to my Mum and given her a complimentary drink or made a little fuss...its not every day one turns 80. The food was very average for the price. The views are fabulous but I would perhaps only return and sit in the cafe next door for a coffee.Hi,Thank you for your feedback, I am very sorry you were disappointed with your experience her at The Edge. Unfortunately we can not move our tables together on our lower deck as some of the fixtures are fixed in place. So we tried to allocate you at the best spot we could which was just slightly up from our terrace but in my opinion still had the best views of the coast. Due to the wether we were having that week ( it was raining one moment and bright sun the next) I thought it would be best to put you on two tables rather then one long table as I didn't want your table to be effected by the wether. Naturally the wether turned out to be fine that day. I am sorry for this but I am glad my team managed to change your table around and get you guys comfortable.I hope you enjoyed your time here in Australia and I would hope you will give us a try one time in future.Regards Management
