I usually love that place but my last visit for lunch was disappointing. It took 1.5 hrs to get our food(we were 6 guests, had a reservation) and the place was not that busy. The food was food and server as well.

Gainsbourg is a bistro restaurant and microbrewery located at 9, rue Aubry, in the historic district of Old Hull, Gatineau, in the Outaouais region. Our place is all about the pleasures of good food and drink in a pub style establishment; the pleasures of
We came over to Gainsbourg to have a drink and maybe some food. We waited 15 minutes and no service, usually were pretty patient but when the people that arrived after you are getting served first, itâs pretty insulting. We mentioned it to one of the waitresses and she said someone was coming and then we waited an additional 10 minutes. Not gonna come back here again, which is unfortunate because the atmosphere was nice. Donât bother if you wanna wait half an hour to even get a drink on a hot day.Hello Ashlee, sorry for not responding earlier. I do agree with you it is unusual and unacceptable to wait that long and even to be served after people who arrived after you. I wanted to apologize regarding this situation. Would it be possible from you to get in touch with me please ? My name is René and I'm one of the owners, you can reach me at 819-209-4310 or at [email protected] you,René L.

Business meeting with some colleagues from Boston who claimed best burger/fries and beer they'd had in a long time. Soup was also great. Nice friendly atmosphere and great service. With leftovers they will, unlike most restaurants wrap up in tin foil than terrible plastic containers.

For those who do not know the Brig Pub has a great party room upstairs called Armada Lounge. Was at a party there recently and was fantastic. The appetizers were amazing and the staff was so friendly. Great bar and DJ. Danced all night. The venue was so beautiful and over looking the garden.Highly recommend for a party!!

This restaurant also has an old fashioned motel, Restaurant, and bar. Close to the Gatineau park , 15 minutes from Ottawa, with many attractions in the area.
If you are old enough, you will remember restaurants in the late 1960's and early 1970's. All of the food was generic. The club sandwiches were made with Wonderbread. Chicken and Veal parmigiana had watery spaghetti and there was a sweetness in the spaghetti sauce. Well, this place is a throw-back to those times. With a few exceptions. Since the owner is of Dutch origin, they have some foods originating from the Dutch colonies of Asia. This is the go-to place for your burgers, beers and fries. They make a reasonable club sandwich. The breakfasts are good for your bacon and eggs. They have good sandwiches and good poutines. Don't expect artisan breads, fancy cheeses or exotic meats. The veal parmigiana is chopped veal. This is basic, homestyle food at a reasonable price. It isn't fancy, and it isn't expensive. Desserts are standard (pie, smoothies, and ice cream sundaes). There is a gelato bar and there are a few big screen TVs in the place. It is basic and it delivers, but it again, it is not fancy.

Tucked in Chelsea is this surprising establishment. The menu's choices are very similar to every diner around the greater Ottawa region, until you receive; Oh my! I thought burgers at TheWorks were good, Manchester has the best in the region, hands down! Everything is fresh made down to the coleslaw salad served with your plate. Our waitress was funny and gave a great service throughout out meal. The only thing missing, would be for them to associate with a micro-brewery and have "their" beer. All in all, this was one pleasant surprise.

Pros: staff are very friendly, warm atmosphere, food is good.Cons: breakfast is plain and pricey. The classic breakfast is double the price you would pay at a conventional restaurant. I don't mind paying more if more is on the plate. That's not the case here. Bread is plain- could be Texas toast at least, sausages were burnt, no fruit to decorate the plate. At the moment they are only open for breakfast and lunch. They have a liquor license but not a menu for dinner. Lunch menu seems to be soup and salad, that's it! Won't be back for breakfast.Let's hope it figures out an identity through its eventual dinner menu.

Friendly staff and interesting menu. Casual dining environment, essentially divided into 3 areas (patio, bar, and dining). Food quality, portions and presentation were very good. Some craft beers, including a sampler option. Limited parking on site, but there is parking on the street and in a lot across the street.

Four of us went here last Monday and enjoyed sitting outside. The service was excellent and the food was very good however the burger was very "blah"; it had no flavour and was small for the price. It's nice that they offer the salad or fries or half & half. Some of the drinks were a little on the pricey side but overall we enjoyed our meals.
