We are a family owned authentic Thai restaurant that's been around the early 1990s. We take pride in our great authentic cuisine, friendly service and the fact that our customers love to come back and try new dishes
We originally had a booking but weâre massively delayed getting in from Toronto. Iâd called en-route to try to change the booking to the following day but this, unfortunately, was when they were due to close for the week. Not sure what time we would arrive, we declined the offer to move to a later slot and cancelled the booking. Once we had arrived at our apartment and ditched our bags, it was gone 9pm. Aware that the restaurant closed at 10pm and determined to take our only chance to eat here, we hurried to the restaurant and were very pleased when they rearranged some tables and fitted us in. The food itself was pretty good. Given the lack of time, we forwent the starters and headed straight for mains; a couple of pad Thais, a red curry, a soup and, for me, a peanut and coconut chicken Penang curry, all washed down with a couple of cold beers. It was a good end to a hectic day and weâre very grateful to the team there for their hospitality.

The sake is good. The appetite, too. The curry rice bowl is not impressing, not cheap either. As I said before, when selecting a restaurant from a foreign country one should be careful because now there are lots of Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Indian restaurants on saint Catherine, among which many are only providing good by family members. The geniun ones always have professional cooks whom are well paid, so they make good food to attract dinners always.

Visited Yokato Yokabai Ramen in August 2019 for dinner. Itâs an authentic Japanese ramen shop in plateau, a bit away from downtown. Many cool restaurants and cafes in the area. Ramen was very authentic and good taste. So far the best ramen I have tried in Montréal.

A taste of Japan situated in a laid-back hideaway by Place d'Armes Square, Kyo Bar Japonais is a favourite among hungry, Old Montreal diners. Its menu boasts colourful izakaya creations, lunchtime bento box specials, smart sushi options and, with over 25
My husband took me here for my birthday dinner. Everything was superb. The ambiance was great. The service was excellent. The food was outstandingâwe had edamame with sea salt, miso soup, seaweed salad, sashimi and a roll. Everything was very fresh and top quality. We also had an excellent Rioja that was spectacular for the price. They brought a complementary desert for my birthday which was special. We will be back every time we are in Montreal.

Good Thai food, seasoned well with adequate portion sizes. The ambiance is very nice and that extends to the outdoor seating.covered seating. Service here was very friendly, courteous and helpful with understanding the menu items. The only issue is the order at which the entrees come out from the kitchen, since it's "family style", the entress are brought out randomly and not all at one time. If your party is alright with entrees coming out at different times then this is the place. However, do not expect all entrees coming out at once for your party/groupTIP: Dinner reservations are recommended.

One of my go to spots for years. The quality of the fish is amazing. Beyond fair pricing. Fun, casual service and a great soundtrack. You really can't go wrong.
