We were 8 people who were celebrating 2 birthdays last night at Marathonâs in DDO. I brought in my own birthday cake to serve later on after dinner. Service was fast and efficient, as usual. We ordered a few appetizers which came in a timely fashion which we ate with their yummy garlic bread. Their saganaki is a MUST! Basically, itâs some sort of Greek cheese which is breaded and fried and served with lemon wedges....to die for! We also ordered kapanisti, a thick, spicy red pepper dip, also delish. Meals ranged from chicken pita platters to doner pita platters and souvlaki stick platters, all served with fries and salad. After the meal, our waiter brought out the birthday cake and after we sang to the birthday people and they blew out the candles, our waiter took the cake away and sliced it up and served it to us. There was no charge for this service. Marathonsâs...always delicious and always good value.

Found this little gem via the TripAdvisor community when searching for a lunch spot close to my language school.Conveniently located in the heart of Kirkland with ample parking outside. Service was speedy, albeit a little on the light side (the didn't ask many questions and the waiter seem to rather serve plates than taking orders).Food choice is great, if you like Greek and/or Persian food. The garlic pita breads that came for the table were jummy and the rest of the food was as well.Ambience is fine, despite having had half the restaurant occupied by a farewell lunch group! :)We will absolutely be back here.

Recently went here for a pair of family Birthday celebrations. Menu hasn't changed much since our last visit with the exception of the addition of a New York Strip Steak. We tried it as well as the Hamburger Steak. I must say the hamburger steak was better than the New York Strip. It might have been just two bad cuts but there was a lot of gristle in both steaks. The service was ok, nothing special. The prices are OK, a tad high for what you get.

If you are looking for a quick bite, this is an option. Gyros are great here! Fries are huge and great dipping into tzatziki sauce. When shopping at Fairview, I like to stop here.
Had a great dinner at Restaurant Topaze tucked away in the Pointe Claire mini-Mall just north of the train tracks to Toronto from Montreal and approximately at the corner of St. Jean Boulevard and the Autoroute de Sourvenir, known locally at the two and twenty. A local favorite, the place was virtually empty of customers on the next to the last Monday night in October. We were there early, and the mini-mall closed while we ate. Shouldâve shopped first, perhaps..My dining partners had pork chops for $Can 23.90 for both of them and I had a $Can10.95 Omelet that was chock full of veggies and cooked to perfection. Thank you, Chef, and thank you Carole, our great waitress..Got to meet the owner. He was eating healthy, I noticed. Good man!.Tax of $Can 8.25 and tip of $Can 8.90 brought the total to $Can 49.00, $Can 16.33 and one third a piece, or approximately $US 12.66 each, not counting any extra charges imposed for the foreign currency conversion slapped on me by the mega-credit card company whose card I carry. Quite a good food value for the price..This place is worth the search to find it. Hope to see you here next time I get to visit with members of my clan.
