I took a large group for dinner. The appetizers were well done, nice cheese/charcuterie, cocktails were good although the martini could use a tweak to the dry side, the wine was not bad but my veal meal was a bit disappointing. The veal was breaded and a bit greasy, the side pasta was dried out (had been under a heat lamp while the rest got done). Most meals were good but the food definitely seemed to be backed up and then rushed out. For the price (>$1,000 for 7), and the reputation, I expected the food/order to be a little more seamless. I would go back, but the place has a reputation for the place to "be" and perhaps "be seen" and maybe it is just a little too busy for management?

What a pleasant surprise.Had a french oignon soup and a pork chopThe chop was 1/2 inch thick and you could cut it with your forkLittle glass of Shock Top to go with itFor desert maple crème brulée and an espresso.Excellent lunchWill go back every time I am in Val d'Or

This place is a motel with a restaurant that is open 24 hrs a day except for sunday and monday. The food is delicous, natural and plenysome. What i like is that you can eat on place or take out and they included everything you might need. The service is excellent. This place is not a fancy restaurant with a high price tag but an affordable place were you can eat a very good meal for a decent price and be complety satisfied.Every time i am going to go to Val dor this is the place were i am going to have my supper.

There are fancier places to eat in Val d'Or like L'Escale or the Confortel dining room but in my opinion Le Pub simply has the best steaks. The place is rather echo-ey so it can get loud at times. After all, it is a pub. I don't like to linger but for a great steak in Val d'Or you can't do better.

not fancy, noisy and crowdy at times, but food was of good quality, they do not fry anything so you wont get the greasy spoon smell when you walk out.If you have 30 min for lunch and don't expect fancy, go for it
