Restaurant la Belle Province

We stopped here while driving out of Montreal, looking for a quick and casual lunch. You order at the counter then sit and they bring it to your table. It was kind of like the Canadian equivalent of a traditional American diner. Burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, and some Canadian staples like poutine. Our food was very good, and served fast. They only accept cash, but if you arrive without it, there is an ATM inside.

Chez Monique

This is not high-society eating. This is poutine: fries, cheese curds, and brown sauce (gravy) and hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.First: the poutine is great - if you need poutine and you're on the south shore, Monique has you covered.Second: the toasties are properly prepared: the hot dogs are grilled and the buns are toasted on the grill as well - condiments are generously and evenly disbursed.Third: the grilled cheese is a hamburger bun with cheese in the middle - in my opinion, a grilled cheese should have bread toasted on the grill, not a crusty burger bun - I won't order againThe staff are very friendly and the cantine atmosphere is as authentic as it gets.

Paju Le Roi Du Sous-Marin

I'm always on the hunt for a good sub and this place came up during a google search. Tried their steak with mushroom sub. This must be the blandest sub I've had in a while, there wasn't any sauce and it was pretty mediocre. I'm not exactly sure why so many people in the reviews are in love with their subs. The fact that I saw the dirty grill my sub was cooked on probably didn't help their case.Roi of subs...more like jester of subs.

A&W

This review is regarding the A&W at 1010 Tachereau, La Prairie. I waited 20 minutes at the drive through even though I was the only car there and the insidef the restaurant was clearly not full. The person handling my order was on the phone while talking to me, discussing her working conditions with management I assume. I was really a side thought to her. The burgers were cold, the bread was stale and there was a hair in one of the burgers. My family was so disgusted that nobody finished their meal. This place is dirty, the food is terrible and the service is horrible. It’s a triple threat. This is one family that will never opt for A&W again!
