Conti is a lovely intimate restaurant located close to the Frontenac where most patrons are nicely dressed in dinner attire which is nice for a special occasion or special meal. The onion soup and lobster bisque were delicious; my husband raved about his seafood pasta with sambucca in the sauce and my salmon dish was faultless. We enjoyed manhattans and a half bottle of wine (Conti has a nice selection of half bottles).

Reasonably priced in the old town, this restaurant delights! Attentive, efficient and friendly staff are a pleasure. I had the linguine alle vongole while my wife had the pesto and pasta. Both of were excellent. Big wine selection and decent beers.Would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants excellent food, service, and a spotless restaurant at reasonable prices. We'll be back!

Outstanding food and service. Just a half a block from our hotel, this restaurant combined delicious yet unusual taste with perfect service. I had the shrimp/risotto with sambuca as the main course. The shrimp were large and done to perfection, and the sauce was simply amazing.Hi! We are so glad that you enjoyed your time at our restaurant! The shrimp with sambucca is probably the most surprising dish on our menu and everyone always loves it! Thank you for leaving this review!Sincerly,Il Matto's team

Our reservation was made 3 months ago before En Route announced its newest new restaurants ranking for 2017, so we were priviliged to be there.. The Battuto is offering a simple and revisited italian cuisine. A team of four take care of the 24 customers (24 seats); great wine selection and a menu offering a short list of appetizers, first course and main course. Open only 5 days a week from 6.pm for dinner only. Great food, great service , a thrue global experience; you may eat a 4 course meal or taste a variety of plates a la carte. Its is trendy and a bit noisy!

Located in a hipster area, some seedy elements close by, it was very busy - I think a reservation would by a good idea. Pizza was really good but could use more toppings. The crew has a great chew, toppings were very good - (could have used more). Kind of pricey - but If you want a good pizza, you can't go wrong!

This place is off the beaten path and worth the trip. If you're going for dinner, make reservations. It gets busy for good reason. The calzones are delicious, creative, and enormous. Easily enough for two people to share. This is a place frequented mostly by locals - less so by tourists - but we found it because of the reviews on Tripadvisor and we went twice during our stay in Quebec. On my list to visit every time I'm in Quebec City.Wow!!! Thank you Diane046 for this so much appreciate comment. Can't wait to serve you again. Have a wonderful day!

We had a great meal at Ciccio Cafe! After a day out in the cold we decided a nice Italian meal would hit the spot. It was a short walk from our hotel but took us away from the typical tourist spots and the restaurant had a nice neighborhood vibe. Our service was a bit slow at first but the food more than compensated and the service staff were all nice. My husband and son both got fettuccine Alfredo and it was so light and fluffy and not at all heavy. I had a scallop and shrimp dish that was fantastic and we started with calamari that was very good. All in all a perfect find for a good meal. Thanks!

Earlier this week, myself along with family and friends had dinner at Les Sales Gosses. It was our first time at this restaurant (for some of us) and we all enjoyed it!General Atmosphere: The general atmosphere is quite good. Although the restaurant is somewhat noisy, we had no problem hearing each other talk. The service is quite good with waiters and waitresses that know their menu and that are quite polite and nice. One suggestion though: reserve your table in advance especially if you are coming to eat with 4 or more people, because even though the restaurant doesn't have much trouble accomodating a group of people (we were 7), the space is not very big and tables can book pretty quickly. Food & Pricing:As a starter, I had cod that was covered with panko breading in a pesto sauce. Although it was pretty good, I thought the panko breading and pesto sauce may have been a bit too much as it took off most of the cod's flavor. As my main dish, I had a piece of beef that was extremely good! A part of it was even covered in sour creme (it looked to me like cheese at first). It was accompanied by a medium sized portion of fries that were good but a bit too salty for me.For dessert, I had a creme Brulee, which was raspberry and strawberry flavoured. It was rather refreshing considering this time of year! The prices were quite high but considering everything we got, it was well worth it!To finish off, I definetly recommend this restaurant to people who like an original culinary experience!

It's a small restaurant that is decorated quite nicely and isn't too loud. The food is fantastic! My family of four shared 2 appetizers and 3 pizzas. The flavours in the dishes were great. The only thing better was the service. Marco is a true gentleman and extremely friendly. Make reservations and treat yourself to a great dining experience.
