This is a great little hole in the wall with really tasty food. We picked yo several dishes to reheat as our dinner at the chalet. It is delicious and the two proprietors are so nice and helpful. It is worth searching for...only wish they were open more days we were visiting the area.

We were spending the saturday in Orford-Magog to enjoy the bright colours of the local foliage and had spotted this restaurant's website. The menu was very tempting so we tried it. We loved it! We tried 4 different dishes and they were all excellent (lamb Navarrin, beef tartare, salad with salmon and pink grapefruit etc), Same thing for the homemade pies (tarte tatin and lemon pie both delicious). It was French cuisine at its best. Surely a place to recommend when you're in Magog and they're catering as well.

We were looking for a great restaurant to eat at for our New Years Eve celebration in Magog Canada and another couple recommended La Causerie in the nearby town of Orford which was about a 15 minute drive from our condo. The restaurant has great atmosphere but is very small and reservations are highly recommended. The restaurant allows you to bring your own wine or beer and as far as I could tell from the menu they did not sell any so it may be best to do so. The food is classic French with some international influences and Canadian flair. Our group of four opted for the 6 course menu and ordered the following for appetizers: the mussels with parmesan, mushroom fricasse, and an appetizer sampler for two with dumplings, imperial rolls, mushroom fricasse and mussels. The Soup du Jour was a refreshing, vegetable soup with a cream base. They offered a citrus granite to cleanse the palatte and then brought the entrees. Our entrees were kidneys in a two mushroom sauce, veal liver, sweet breads with mushrooms in port sauce, and spiced duck confit. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse, creme brulee, and cheesecake. Everything we ordered was impeccably prepared, well plated, and most importantly, delicious. The desserts were very classic and a bit un-imaginative but still well prepared and very tasteful. This was a multi-course, Classic French meal so the wait for the food was a little long but was expected and well worth it. We highly recommend this restaurant and it is deserving of a five star rating.

The chef, Ãric Garand & the sommelier, Jinny Dufour are happy to unveil this unique concept to Magog. Friendly, warm space a meeting point to discover and share the pleasures of the gourmet table. You will find delicate and original dishes to share (tapas
Eric and Jinnyâs Plaisir Gourmand in Magog is one of our favourite restaurants. We used to drive all the way up from New York City to Hatley to dine in the original location of Plaisir Gourmand for their fantastic tasting menu in the farmhouse. The owner chef/sommelier couple Eric and Jinny are outstanding hosts, always providing five star service and delicious creative dishes and drinks with excellence, creativity and unique hospitality. We were thrilled to learn the new location in the center of Magog had just opened when we were visiting the first week of July. So great is the restaurant and hosts that we had dinner there two evenings in a row, both excellent but the second night was a particularly fantastic experience with a mystery tasting menu with wine pairings all Italian themed. The whole restaurant was alive with excitement and comraderie. We sang along to the wonderful blues soundtrack as we watched Eric carefully create one masterpiece after another serving it with care to each patron while Jinny created wonderful pairings. If you are in the eastern townships you must not miss this spectacular gem of a restaurant. We have traveled in many regions of the world and have enjoyed some of the best restaurants in the world and in nyc where we live and Plaisir Gourmand is right up there with the best. Every dish on the tasting menu was outstanding. Thank you Jinny and Eric for making our trip to the eastern township so memorable. We cannot wait to visit again. Merci beaucoup.WOW! Thank you so much! We look forward to welcome you again.

Garanteed to "WOW" your taste buds! One might wonder about the unusual name chosen for the restaurant. The owners have decided to highlight the year in which was held, the first municipal council of the town of Magog, 1855. As for the word, « TAVERNE », i

Restaurant Pinocchio offers French bistro inspired dishes in a warm and inviting atmosphere.A pleasant destination for both its chic and friendly decor as well as the restaurant's beautiful terrace where it feels good to spend time on sunny days. With favo
We both ordered the filet mignon, to start I got the balsamic salad, good but very very light on the balsamic could not really taste it, bf got the soup of the day (corn). I then got the crusted goat cheese, now as weird as it sounds I am lactose intolerant but I do like goats cheese when I want to be daring.. that said this dish was amazing light crunch with not an overbearing cheese flavour the apples add a little more sweetness as well as the honey. My bf got fresh oysters and he said they were very good. The filets were very good, truffle mashed potatoes are great as always and the king mushroom was amazing. We got a creme brulee which was also very good, nice crunch and perfect cream texture, the mi cuit au chocolate was amazing as well a light texture with gooy chocolate inside nice cocoa flavour not sugar sweet but just enough. Over all very nice restaurant we had a great time, gin and tonics were very good here, we would go back :).

We ate here for two of the three nights we stayed in Magog. Excellent selection of Gluten-free options, including french fries. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Friendly, attentive service; the second night we were served by Alain Roger, the owner. (NB The main street of Magog, where this restaurant is located, has been completely dug up, but the work stops around 5 o'clock; construction is expected to continue for one year.)Thank you very much! Hope to see you again :)

We got together for the first time in ages with a close friend. Thanks to neighbours who use our garage in winter when we go south and gave us a gift certificate we dined at "Comme Chez Soi". (Roughly: Like at home)Our friend ordered Lamb shank which looked beautiful and was apparently very tasty. My spouse started with a Strawberry and Balsamic appetizer which she declared sublime. Her main was the chef's suggestion on the table d'hote menu: short ribs braised, then grilled and served with a blueberry sauce and assorted veggies. She very much enjoyed her meal.I also ordered from the table d'hote and started with the soup de jour, a mix of celery purée soup and a root vegetable purée but served so that each was separate with a distinct line separating the two distinct colours. My appetizer was a very well seasoned steak tartare, and my main was Mussels with white wine and cream sauce. Very tasty and generous portion. The restaurant is "bring your own wine" and they open the bottles and provide ice buckets for white wines. As we visited on a Saturday night in peak tourist season, the restaurant was quite busy so service was not extremely fast, but quite competent. In fact our server switched to English when she realized that although we can converse in French, it was not our first language. Our final comment was that we will definitely return!Thank you so much for your kind words!

The Bistro 4 saisons, located in the Espace 4 seasons hotel, offers refined and unique European-style dishes with the best of Quebec products. The restaurant is accessible to all. It is not reserved for hotel guests.
When we arrived to our reserved evening at this restaurant, we were surprised it was part of a major hotel complex and we were a bit apprehensive that it would be nothing more than a chain type restaurant. Quelle surprise! After supper, I remarked that after having just spent 5 weeks in Europe, this was my best meal all summer. The décor is very modern, with a fabulous glass walled wine cellar. Attention to acoustic was evident with the sound dampening ceiling, Service was very pleasant, very efficient and very appropriate. And the food â well go find out for yourself, but we are pretty sure you will be delighted. We might just have to fly back from Edmonton for another delightful supper there. Thanks team!Dear customer,We are very pleased to hear you had a wonderful experience at our bistro! Thank you for visiting us and taking the time to leave this great review. We hope to see you again soon! The Bistro 4 Saisons team
