Join us for a drink in the historic Round Robin Bar. Located on the lobby level of the historic Willard InterContinental, the iconic Round Robin Bar has been a lively meeting place for Washington, D.C.âs political and social elite since Abraham Lincoln. L
We were staying at the Willard and went to the Round Robin Bar a couple of times for a pre-dinner drink. I loved the feel of the place, I found the service to be prompt, efficient and friendly. Also the drinks were very good, pricey of course, but that was expected!

Savor global influence fare, courtesy of Chef Harper McClure, at The Pembroke, which The Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema described as âcut from a different cloth.â The stunning ground-floor restaurant is truly a feast for the senses with a hip gl
I don't say this often (pretty much never) but The Pembroke is outstanding all around. From the time you step in the door, you'll feel welcome. Service is clearly a focus and all of the staff here provide excellent service. Matthew, our waiter, was fun and great help with the menu including the wine selection. The menu is not lengthy but the a good well rounded selection and changes seasonally. Our group ordered a variety of dishes from the lamb to fish to steak frites and all of them were outstanding. We managed to have room for a shared desert; also wonderful. The manager also stopped (I noticed he stopped at each table at some point during dinner) to check on guests. It was a nice touch. If you're looking for the perfect place for a special dinner or you just want to feel pampered, this is the place for you. Make a reservation: it does fill up .Good afternoon,Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a kind review! We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your meal with us at The Pembroke. We hope to be able to welcome you back again soon, and also invite you to check out our bar, Doyle, for some custom cocktails! We look forward to having the pleasure of welcoming you back again soon.Sincerely,Taylor Bradley

Near the White House, this bar drips with history. Enjoyed the mixed drinks, coasters and bar-staff. We had a little trouble finding it, it's downstairs. We didn't dine but they had legit bar snacks.

GCDC Grilled Cheese Bar is Washington DC's first grilled cheese centric restaurant one half block from the White House and the Renwick Gallery. Family owned and operated for lunch and a cool happy hour and dinner, we serve grilled cheese, mac and cheese,
Came here for lunch while we were walking around sightseeing. This is not mom's grilled cheese. I got the buffalo and it was delicious. Just enough spice to make you think of hot wings. Crispy bread and when you get to the blue cheese, it just gets refreshing. The tomato soup is delicious and perfect for dipping the sandwich in. My wife got the turkey pesto and loved it. I was not looking forward to walking to get a grilled cheese, but after eating it, I would walk to it again.Hi Pdt---Thank you so much for your business and for taking the time to post such a great review---The Buffalo Blue is one of my favorites---and the tomato soup is my son's recipe--so I am doubly happy you enjoyed them!Best wishes and safe travels---Bruce

This place is great and needs to be on trip advisor. A wonderful establishment.
We were recommended to Jacks for a steak & scotch. Even though we dont drink scotch it was great. The service was good could have been better but it was really busy. They have the thickest book of whiskey selection Ive seen you would think it was Scottish? It was very expensive. We only had a steak each and 1 side to share with 3 beverages it was around $270 Aus dollars. It was very tasty and cooked how we asked but i canât say it was worth that much ??? Worth a visit if not out of your price range.

Established in 1856, the Old Ebbitt Grill was a favorite of Presidents Grant, Cleveland, Harding, and Theodore Roosevelt. The restaurant's decor is comprised of a Beaux-Arts facade, mahogany and velvet booths, and bars set in marble, brass, and beveled gl
Very good food and very busy. (The place has 4 different bars.) A pretty varied selection and everyone enjoyed all of the different items we ordered.

Commissary is Logan Circle's casual neighborhood café. We serve breakfast & brunch, lunch & dinner, snacks & smoothies as well as house-made desserts and shakes, along with an expansive daily happy hour. We have a large bar, cozy lounge area, outside café
We read lots of good things about this place on TA and it was for a good reason. They have a great menu with lots of options, many that have unique twists on traditional favorites. We got an omelet, pancakes, a breakfast sandwich, and huevos rancheros. Everyone was pleased with their meal, though all of us agreed it wasn't quite 5 stars. Due to the nice atmosphere, good food and solid service I would definitely return. The Commissary has multiple deals throughout the week. When we went, it was bottomless mimosas and bloody Marys (Monday) which seemed like a good deal.Bottomless Mondays are a huge thing at Commissary. On your next visit make sure you try our many other deals @GDGandTBiggsMy personal fav is the breakfast for two deal on our breakfast and brunch menu.

Doyle â a glamourous, club like bar with a chic mid-century feel, designed by Martin Brudnizki, offers incredible panoramic views of Dupont Circle. The drinks list is built around the cocktail culture of the 1950âs and 1960âs, featuring short and strong c
I call this a great hotel bar since I was staying there. However, I recommend visiting if in the area. I met a few folks who were staying nearby but came to this place instead of the competition. Bar seating is limited but there is plenty of small tables around the Doyle. I had a little difficulty to get initial drinks both nights that I was there but, once served, service was good.Like any upscale DC bar, drink costs are not buck a beer. However, this is not a pounding drinks bar either. There are nice customers to strike up conversations so coming alone is not an issue.Dear oldstocks, Thank you for visiting us at Doyle Bar and for staying with us at The Dupont Circle Hotel. We hope you enjoyed our time with us and will stay with us again in the future. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the service at Doyle Bar but also want to offer our sincere apologies for any delay in service that you experienced. Thank you for recommending us as a great upscale DC bar, a great place to visit for a solo drink or to meet new people. We look forward to your next visit so we can craft you some more excellent cocktails. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you would like to plan your next visit to Doyle Bar at [email protected] Regards,Nitin TitusFood and Beverage Manager

Quill is Washington, DCâs upscale lounge and cocktail bar. Quill offers an inspired mix of classic and signature cocktails, a dynamic wine list and an elevated bar menu. We invite you to relax and unwind on our patio or enjoy our in-house pianist, Peter R
We stopped in for a drink prior to dinner. We had hoped to sit on the patio and all the outdoor tables were occupied. Our server said she would keep an eye out and try to move us if one opened up. Our seat inside was just fine. The room is cozy and comfortable. We stuck to wine. However, the cocktail menu looked like it had some fun options.Sure enough, a table opened up outdoors as we finished our first glasses. We decided to stay for another glass to enjoy the outdoor table. The patio is not large, but private and pleasant on a nice Spring evening. If we didn't have reservations for dinner we probably would have chosen to stay at Quill and try the food.
