If you happen to travel around Puy l Eveque I would like to introduce a place which has been my family and my own favorite for ages Dining on their terrace is a must for someone wanting to discover what is a typical south west cuisine, and i dare to say i can go for their cassoulet even in the middle of summer time My wife prefers their huge salad plate with everything a duck can offer magret, gésiers, foie... Dinner can be served with any Cahors Malbec wine but i like to have the house wine belonging to the family the La Paganie It is not big deal neither a fancy place but a good tip to feel at home although in a different environment

This was a very reasonable price and for that we got a super clean room. It is old fashioned in decor but the bathroom is large, with lots of hot water for bath and shower, good towels, decent size bedroom with french windows. The breakfast was traditional french with big big cups of coffee. The owners were very accommodating and never stopped working. Would highly recommend for a budget stay.

This hotel is excellent! I had four nights here in a room with a stunning view of the lot river. My room was bright, comfortable and clean. The restaurant was just outstanding with food that was not only delicious but beautiful in presentation. Above all, the staff are so friendly and helpful. They could not have done more for me. I truly appreciated all their help with things from dining recommendations to driving directions. They made me feel welcome, safe and so very comfortable. We will be back in this area and this is definitely our first choice. I highly recommend it!!

Le Domaine du Cardou is located on the borders of Périgord and Quercy. Two kilometers from Puy l’Evêque, one of the most beautiful villages in the lot region, we invite you to discover the remains of its history and its rich past. The Lot , south west region of France is a great place to live and stay:You will be surrounded by nature and there is a rich gastronomic culture : You will enjoy its wines, foie gras, truffles, fruits… But that’s not all…The landscape is varied and wonderful with a rich heritage dating back to the middle ages.In addition, the numerous underground caves and chasms are filled with relics from the past, reminding us of our world’s natural power and beauty.Your accommodation is a good example of the Quercy style :- It dates back to the XIII century- It is situated in very peaceful area surrounded by 4 acres of hilly and wooded land- The gîte complex forms a small hamlet, allowing everyone to enjoy their stay with complete independence.
We had a lovely 2 weeks in the utterly seductive Domaine du Cardou, just outside Puy l'Eveque, a picture perfect medieval village. We rented Gite Bellevue, which lived up to its name; very spacious, with a beautiful glazed terrace looking onto trees, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting room & bedrooms that conspired to give us the best sleep ever...Even our 5 year old son slept until after 9:30! Corinne and Annie welcomed us with cool drinks, homemade quiche, cake & jam, wine and a starter pack of kitchen stuff that was actually useful & well thought out. They looked after us brilliantly and it was very hard to leave. We loved the gorgeous ( & warm) pool, the extensive and immaculate grounds, and the table tennis and pétanque area. The outside sitting/dining terraces gave stunning views of the valley, as well as a deer who came to munch apples every night. The surrounding area is perfect for all sorts of outdoor activities (cycling, walking, kayaking) and further afield there are many famous sites, although the 13th century church and 15th century frescos at Martignac, 2 km up the road are hard to beat. We really did have a fantastic time & hope to return soon.

I have stayed at this gorgeous property three times over the last 2 years. I was house hunting, and on my own. The owners, Sally and Paul have done an outstanding job of renovating, and creating a peaceful haven in this historic property. All of the rooms are of a high standard, with luxury furnishings, my favourite is the blue room. Breakfast is a wonderful, relaxed time with plenty of options including fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurt, sliced meat and cheese, and the best baguettes ever! Paul goes daily to collect from the local boulangerie. Sally is only to happy to recommend a spot for dinner, and call to reserve for you if you worry about your French. Also the guest's kitchenette may be a great option too, if you want to heat some soup and toast after a big day exploring. The local supermarche has a wonderful variety of French food that we tourists can't get enough of, so having a perfect set up to eat at your lodging is a real treat, with all crockery and cutlery supplied. I cannot wait to get back to those views, and the wonderful hospitality of Le Prersbytere.

A peaceful break in the Lot, for a peaceful stay in the heart of nature, relaxation, serenity and comfort are the key words. Nathalie and Olivier to welcome you ... in this old building dating from 1827 typically Quercy with its boletus, its cellar and its bread oven, located in the Lot / Quercy blanc valley, with a magnificent view of the vineyards and truffles.
