We very much enjoyed our stay here - we had one of the single cabins which included 1 double bed and 1 single. We are small people so the double was fine - tall people might find the bed a bit cramped. Otherwise the accomodations are quite comfortable with small staging area of countertop and clothes bar (no hangers). The bathroom and sink are updated and whimsical with conch shell taps. The is also a small veranda. The restaurant service is adequate; or you can walk to the small village in 5-8 minutes (or drive) where there are a couple of options for eating. There was decent wifi in the reception area only, which is quite good considering the remoteness of the location. The beach is lovely white, soft sand with very little sargasso and the staff was friendly. On the negative side: we stayed 3 nights and there was no maid service. Fortunately, we didn't really need much.

Casual, tranquil, secluded and relaxed, Sol Caribe is a small, exclusive, beachfront resort with private cabanas and suites, on the Caribbean Sea side of Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula; in the state of Quintana Roo… it is one of the last untouched corners of the Mayan Riviera with a desert island feel. Just 35 km south of the town of Tulum and 8 km from the village of Punta Allen, Sol Caribe is located within a protected oasis of extraordinary natural beauty, the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, Mexico’s largest wetland nature reserve and one of the world’s greatest fly fishing spots on Ascension Bay (Bahia de la Ascension). Explore the Mayan ruins dotting the jungle landscape, snorkel in the Great Meso-American Barrier Reef just off the beach, enjoy the fresh seafood in our beachfront restaurant, watch the sea turtles swimming in the waves… or just relax under a palapa on a white sandy beach that you have all to yourself.
Booked a room. Got to the national park gate. They wouldn't let us through. No one would pick up the phone at the hotel. Got back a few hours later. Refunded our cost but ended up wasting a whole vacation day and having to book a cheap hotel last minute

Villas Roseliz is a familiar hotel in front of the carribean sea in the Reserve of Biosphere of Sian Ka`an. The hotel is situated in the village of Punta Allen, 56 km south of Tulum. The hotel offers rooms with two matrimonial beds, private bathroom, Internet, Sky and TV, air condition and Fan. You can put also your hammock in the room. We have also a common kitchen for our guests.
The place is great (you have to keep in mind this Punta Allen, a small fishing village), so you can't expect a luxurious hotel. So for the area this place was perfect, likely the best and definitely exceed our expectations. Additionally, staff was very nice and friendly and gave us great recommendations. We really enjoyed our stay :)

Mukan Resort has a unique identity and eco-influence. Boasting more than 200 meters of beachfront, the vast property excites the senses, allowing guests to completely surrender to the beauty of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere reserve around them. Incredibly remote but accessible by car, boat and helicopter, the property offers five beach rooms, three ocean bungalows and one premium bungalow with a private garden.
This place has the potential to be good...but falls short on so many levels. Their website makes it sound like an eco friendly luxury resort in a magical setting. What you get instead...A beach with so much trash you couldn’t possibly walk without shoes in either direction. There is no beach service for drinks or food, no cigar bar, no spa, no yoga which are all listed on their website as services to enjoy. The bikes for hotel guests to use are all broken, no working gears or working brakes...There is no atmosphere in the only restaurant. However, the food was decently prepared and the two restaurant employees we did see were very hard working and tried to make the best out of what they had to work with. We stayed in the nicest room which was comfortable but smelled of urine. We arrived after an almost 2 hr boat ride which could have been avoided if the staff had communicated that their were high winds the day we arrived, we would have opted to drive. We couldn’t lay on the beach at all due to the wind and the hotel has no outdoor areas to accommodate this issue. We expressed our concerns with management and they didn’t really seem concerned since we all had to prepay for our rooms. Finally, the hotel has recently changed ownership and management so I guess we fell victim to previous TA reviews that may have been true at one time? We decided to leave a day early and are so glad we did! Even though the hotel refused to refund us our $800 for the last night of our stay. Yes $800 a night...Don’t even get me started on them pushing the extra 250 pp for “all inclusive” what a scam, so glad we didn’t sign up for that! What could be great is so far from it. Choose wisely and go somewhere else.

What a wonderful vacation spot. A break from the world. A small hotel with family style dinners and breakfasts. The food was very good as was the service and the company we had at each meal. 4 of us took a boat tour to go bird watching which was fantastic! Also saw several sea turtles and dolphins. Some in our party went fly fishing and had a great time. Tiz also loaned them rods to take to the beautiful beaches with us as well as extra snorkel gear.

We invite you to escape to this unique tropical Tulum paradise for a tranquil, nature-packed, relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Enjoy a symphony of rustling leaves, exotic birds and breaking waves in this secluded nook in the heart of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We have three one-bedroom units with their own bathroom and a two bedroom unit with one bathroom. We also have two large glamping tents. There are 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. There is a common kitchen where you can prepare meals. Or, we can help you arrange for a chef and a meal plan. The entire place rents for 350 US.
Dharma is an amazing place to stay. It’s a bit of a drive to get there but the road isn’t too bad , and you’ll be blown away when arriving, it’s absolutely gorgeous and the vibes are just on point! Thank you to the gracious host Patricia who made us all feel welcome and well tended to. We were treated to fresh coconut water, tea coffee daily, access to a well stocked kitchen. Volunteers from around the world help tend to your needs and comfort with cleaning, cooking delicious meal ,yoga class .and more. The rooms are spacious open cottages right on the sand facing the ocean. This peaceful jewel of a place is real organic experience ?

Super Unterkunft in Punta Allen. Der Aufenthalt war super angenehm. Die Besitzer Martha und Juan sind mega herzlich und geben viele Tipps. Selten so grossartige Gastgeber gesehen. Die Bootstour muss man unbedingt erlebt haben.
