Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Puno. Llamas, sheep and alpacas roam the plains of Puno, a port city in southeastern Peru. Their fleeces are used to make the area’s signature textiles, which make excellent souvenirs. You’ll do a lot of walking here, as many of the streets are too steep for cars. But the climbs are worth it for the excellent views of Lake Titicaca. Take a boat to the Floating Islands or get up close and personal with the four-legged locals at a llama farm.

We've travelled all through Argentina, Patagonia, Chile, Bolivia and Peru in the past four and a half months and encountered some of the worst pizzas we've ever had, so Pizzeria Jhutmay was a wonderful surprise: fast service, great wood-oven thin-crust pizzas with excellent toppings (my wife and I liked the vegetarian pizza best), and good prices. We ate there three of four times over the space of one week and never had a bad experience. The place was usually packed with people, which is usually a good sign.DearThanks so much the positive comment. We are trying to do all our pizzas with love and the kind that people enjoy. We hope you can visit us again.

The Catedral restaurant is very close to the hotel we were staying at (Royal Inn), right at Plaza de Armas. We stopped here for dinner, It happened to be New Year's Day, so we were lucky to find a place open for business. Service was a little slow at the start, even though there were few customers. The waiter did not speak English, but the menu is in both Spanish and English. They offer a nice value meal consisting of a soup or appetizer, a main entree, and a beverage. I ordered the chicken soup, spaghetti with pesto sauce, and anise tea. Everything was very good, even though I'm not a big fan of herbal teas (I just wanted to try the anise tea).

Having arrived in Puno late on a wet and windy night, we were looking for a quick and easy meal before bed. Well, it was certainly quick...The positives: the head waiter was friendly and welcoming. The pizza oven. The negatives: everything else. On arrival, we were told we could only order small pizzas (to be fair, at a reduced price). We ordered two beers (one of which was also unavailable) and some water. These only arrived after some prompting and a significant delay - the water was lukewarm. The pizzas themselves were undercooked and largely flavourless. We left much of it uneaten. Overall, this restaurant clearly has good intentions and the staff were perfectly friendly. However, the service was very, very slow at times and the food was, I'm afraid, extremely poor.

We came across this bar along the main drag in Puno town centre and it was great. It has music videos playing on screens which gives it a bit of atmosphere

Our kids were asking for pizza for dinner so we decided to take them to Del Buho. The handmade pizzas were just what we were looking for. When we arrived we were showing to a table upstairs. Our server was really nice but spoke zero English so we got by by pointing to the menu and our limited Spanish, but it worked. We ordered 3 different pizzas. The were delivered to our table very shortly after ordering. They arrived piping hot and looking delicious. When we'd previously ordered pizza in Peru it's been a bit of a disappointment, so I had low expectations. This pizza was VERY good, much better than I prepped myself for. Our entire family left full and satisfied with our meal. Del Buho is highly recommended.

beside the Casona on main pedestrian street
You are urged inside by the hosts, seated, menus provided, order taken... Not much in personal interaction, and once served mostly no further contact. Vern had the pork chop dinner with potatoes and steamed veggies. I ordered the cream of corn soup. The soup was quite without seasoning or taste. It took several requests to obtain our check. Ho-hum

Positives: Menus were in English, and the waiter showed us the different sizes of the pizzas before we ordered. The value for these pizzas were great. There was a great atmosphere in the restaurant, with both an upstairs and a downstairs area with stone pizza ovens.Negatives: Service was slightly slow, but we were in no rush so didn't matter.

Despite being within the bustling streets of central Puno, this restaurant had a great atmosphere whilst being very relaxing. Service by Ignacio was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious (particularly beef tenderloin with bacon and cheese WOW). Was very very busy, would definitely recommend...

I went because of all the TripAdvisor excellent reviews. The person serving me upstairs was very pleasant. I ordered ham mushroom olive pizza. When it arrived there was no ham and no mushrooms. I showed the lady serving me, she agreed and took the pizza away. Next minute a not so pleasant person from downstairs brought my pizza back, lifted a corner and showed me the tiniest sliver of ham. By the time I had finished it was rubbery. All in all very disappointing, and I couldnât recommend Remix.
