This is the warmest and kindest staff, I ever met...
Expect luxury from the sceneri, not from the bungalow. It's a simple bungalow with a bed, toilet and shower.
This is barefoot/flipflop/scuba/snorkel island, and durring Ramadan, things are not going that speedy as you may be used to - so enjoy and relax instead!

I booked onto Besar as I wanted to see both Islands and this was the most economical option. I had an enormous bungalow which was very clean but really dated.
Food in the restaurant was okay but not cheap.
Wifi only works in the restaurant area if that's a deal breaker for you.
The restaurant/bar closes as soon as people finish dinner so it's not very sociable if you're not there with people you already know.

Everything is good: breakfast, lunch, dinner. They offer daily BBQ in the evening of fresh fish. Also have free WiFi.

The most cozy, delicious, and chill cafe to hang out with friends, partner and family!
For Malaysia this place is definitely on the pricey side but I suppose it has a bit of a monopoly. Seats are lovely and comfy with big cushions. Great films on every night at 7:30pm. Staff are friendly, menu is good. Food was nice but quite expensive, cocktails were great and cake was yummy. Loved that basically if you got your table by 7:30pm you were clearly there for the evening and you were never made to feel like they were rushing you. I was on my own on a table for 4 (there wern't any small ones I wasn't just being selfish' and they didn't mind. Great for a treat night if you are on a budget or if you want a nice cocktail!

Had a terrible time here. The service is very slow. The staff (especially 'Patrick') are not great.
Infact when I asked Patrick for a spare plate for my prawns which had only been half shelled by the chef (eurgh) he GRUNTED at me and then pretty much threw the plate at me. He had NO problem speaking politely to all the other guests in Putonghua though. Sadly, Patrick didn't realise that I can speak PTG and also understand blatant racism. I would say this resort caters more for a Chinese market, especially my mate Patrick.
The food was pretty dire too. My Prawns in Cream & Garlic came out in a tomato-y sauce. The chef made it difficult for me to deshell the prawns myself having half done the job. All hands on deck- my food hell. It looked nothing like the deshelled prawns in the photo menu.
My husband had a pizza that came around 20 minutes later. Looked more like a pie or some weird cheese on toast. Frozen pizza base. Terrible.
Awful visit. Horrid staff and minging food.

This unassuming place was a pleasant surprise. The butter milk chicken and somtam (papaya salad) were excellent, the prawns super fresh (although it totally failed as a tempura dish!) and we had the only vegetable dish (mixed veg). My daughter enjoyed her phase Thai although it tasted nothing like that Thai favourite. Very reasonable prices and friendly service. Will definitely return to try the other dishes!

Had numerous meals here while we stayed at Mama's chalets.
Take-aways:
- breakfast is great here. Serving pancakes, teh tariq, french toast etc.
- service is good, staff is very accommodating and food comes quickly (key when you're diving / snorkeling at a given time)
- solid menu with many options, expanded on during diner with fresh seafood available from the barbecue

OhLaLa offers the complete diving experience. Situated on the idyllic Long Beach on Perhentian Kecil, we offer dive courses for novice as well experienced divers. OhLaLa has limited rooms as well as a bar and restaurant serving European dishes. Enjoy the crystal clear waters and meet new friends from all over the world.
After trying various local stalls, Oh LaLa definitely offers the best food and the portions are worth the prices! My favorite was the margarita pizza, which was incredibly cheesy, and the baked potato wedges, which were the best I've had in a while. I've been to Oh La La in 2013 so can say with confidence that the quality of the food remains the same and that their pizza is still the best dish on offer!

We stayed here and ate a lot of nights.
Staff are very friendly, some are a bit slow but it's an island so why are you in a rush!
The BBQ was excellent (try all of the tandoori) and Malaysian dishes also great. Hygiene great - we stayed for 12 nights and had no stomach problems (my other half always has stomach problems!). I've seen other reviews being negative about price/food - I thought the value was excellent and we had some lovely meals. Meat was a much higher standard than anywhere I've been in Asia before (and I've spent a lot of time living/working here). If you want western food then stay at home. If you want Malaysia food and nice seafood BBQ this is a great choice.

Dined here on several occasions for lunch and dinner. Each meal was delicious and lots of flavour. Friendly service. Chicken rendang curry with coconut rice one day, another day prawns in buttermilk, plus chicken and coconut soup plus tropical juices. Superb food, very reasonably priced dining, right on the beachfront to chill out.
