Established by German immigrants in 1853, this is now the key port, transit and business hub of the Lakes District – a good place to replenish supplies, pick up Chilean crafts and get an urban jolt before moving on to more pristine pastures. If you're in the mood to sample some of the famous local salmon, the Angelmo harbor market should be your first stop. From there, it's a short boat ride across to Tenglo Island for views of snow-capped volcanic peaks. Santiago is a two-hour flight away.

The restaurant sits over water and be aware that google maps may take you to the yacht club instead of the restaurant. Food was not bad but I think it could be improved. The waiters were attentive and very friendly.

This is a great steak restaurant. The steaks are enormous and tasty and the chips were good too. It doesn't open until 8.30pm in the evening so wasn't very busy when I was there as unlike most of South America I was still on UK time and couldn't wait!
The service was great, would definitely go back.

Been to South America many times... husband and I love south American meat, seafood, pebre, bread, meals etc etc.
Jeremy (Owner), Don Julio (BBQ/ parrilla man) and all the staff were simply amazing. Always with a smile and very helpful.
I had lomo Vetado/Rib eye and it was the best steak I've ever had in my life.
Prices are more than reasonable, good wine selection and different sour drinks. Pebre (Chilean sauce) is delicious... well, everything was excellent.
If you go to Puerto Montt, please go to this lovely restaurant.

I came across this restaurant by chance while touring angelmo market,
I will say this again : best salmon ever, it was just cooked to perfection, fresh juicy, perfect - took side sauce with it but pretty much left out untouched, anything that you can add to the salmon would just ruin it's amazing taste.
Highly recommended, first really good fish I have had for the past two weeks in South America

Friendly service, generous portions and hearty side dishes make this a winner. The cuts of beef are explained on the menu. Reasonable wine list....you'll need a taxi since it's really not near any hotels etc.

A delightful restaurant where our steaks were prepared and grilled on an open fire within sight. The Chilean Owner spoke very good English and was a charming host for the evening. A Sunset dinner with a delicious steak and wine. Highly recommended.

This little Italian restaurant is big in good food. Our group had antipasti, Parma salads, hake, pasta, etc--a good variety of what's on the menu. All portions good sizes, fresh, and great tasting. Good service and very clean. Good wine and drink choices. A bit expensive for a pizza place (about $35 per person with drinks) but fair for the quality.

We came here by default on a Sunday due to the fact that everything was closed and based on the reviews we were not expecting much. To our surprise the cocktails were tasty and strong, the sushi menu was fairly extensive and some of their creative creations were spot on. The service was good, the orders came out quick and it was reasonable priced. I really can't find many faults with this place. My only gripe is that there needs to be more rolls w/o cream cheese. Dude, yuck. Other than that, it was worth another visit
