We are a different business, with a different flavor surrounded by the best casual atmosphere , excellent service , the most extensive wine cellar with national and international wines and unsurpassed French culinary art . We invite you to meet up with th
The setup and ambience is great, very nice welcome. Good menu and reasonably priced, great selection of wines. Very inconsistent dish quality. We ordered the two duck dishes, one was awesome, the other overcooked and tasteless. The head waiter, rather than accepting our comment, disregarded it and responded that there is no way to please everybody, other people surely preferred it that way. Getting an invoice for the check took several weeks with lots of phone calls... what a waste!

This restaurant looks like the beloved project of someone who is passionate about this business. There's plenty of good ideas around, in the décor and in the menu. The pricing is very reasonable. The service is attentive and does a good job. However, I think there's still some points that can be improved: on a Friday night, the place was not too crowded. We were seated at a table upstairs with too much light, it didn't feel quite private. The food was good, not great. We ordered tostadas de pulpo, some were made with tortilla, some with chicharrón. The mushrooms were good. I had the lamb as a main, it was good but could have been a bit hotter. I am sure in a few months, fixing some aspects, this can be an excellent place.

This is a city crowded with good taco stands and restaurants. La Oriental, however, stands out in hearkening back to a Middle Eastern origin for the famous Mexican "taco al pastor." That is, with the immigration wave from Lebanon and nearby countries in the early 20th century came their foods. What is called schwarma came to Mexico, and the lamb quickly got replaced with pork! The "tacos arabes" at La Oriental look to that heritage, and provide a fresh, tasty alternative ... we ate twice as much as we should have, because it was all so good!

Mexican cuisine is within the top global offerings given its taste, variety and originality of its dishes and taste combinations. Within the Mexican cuisine there is a special chapter for âcomida poblanaâ or Pueblan cuisine, that very likely sits at the top. Having said this, Casa Barroca is probably nowadays one of the best, if not the best place in Puebla... Need to say more?Food is prepared with primer ingredients, carefully curated recipes, and served with high level of attention to details, like the little packages of butter made of corn natural wrapping, as if they were little tamales. We had the enchiladas and the Chile en Nogada and they were fantastic. Food portions are a bit bigger than what I expected, and flavor was heavenly in all instances. To top everything, the building itself, in a centuries old house, is outstanding. I recommend making a telephone reservation, although you may easily find a place if it is not a weekend. Do go. Enjoy!I canât wait to bring my wife to this place.
