Reviewed By FarAway11764667325Christian was a great host -- he made our stay a pleasure! The cabin was spacious and the grounds restful and well manicured. Kids loved the treehouse and the zip line. Dad loved the barbecue grill and the view.

Lovely setting in a lush garden
Reviewed By AralyaIt was quite a long drive that day, coming from Argentina. On arrival I was welcomed by a member of staff who showed me the studio #1, on the side on the reception. But it was small, dark and with no view or outdoor space. She must have noticed my reaction because when the owner came to greet me, I was straightaway offered the cabana #7, on the top of the hill (quite a hike especially with luggages and groceries) but with an amazing view of the lake, a lovely terrace and close to the pool which was a refreshing (literally) plus after our drive on dusty roads... This cabaña was really gorgeous with a sofa curled on the side of big windows, a small wooden stove (probably very useful in the winter), a big double bedroom and a smaller one with bunks, a fully equipped kitchen with oven, a small bathroom. Of course it’s a bit old fashioned but it was very cosy and you could really spend a few days here. On the other side, it is far from the centre of town. It’s really a place to relax and self cater. Not if you want to experiment the hustle and bustle of Pucón.

Great Place for a family reunion or quiet getaway
Reviewed By gatorcreek1We just spent a week here over the Christmas holiday and loved it. This was our second stay and the staff remembered us and gave a warm welcome on our return. English is not spoken as well as you would find in a larger city but with a modest effort and google translate, we had no problem. If you require all hours room service and constant attention, this is not the place for you. The staff is small but welcoming and the dinners were excellent. The grounds must encompass 30-40 acres and are beautifully maintained with many flowers and interesting plants . The snow capped Villarrica Volcano is part of the gorgeous view from the hotel grounds. It’s like living on an estate in many ways. We feel quite at home in this low key environment and look forward to returning next year. R

More than just a place to sleep, the Antumalal offers an unforgettable experience. Building began in 1945 fusing vanguard architectural forms with functionality and complete integration with the surroundings. To this day the unique character has been preserved, and all areas offer the amenities of a luxurious boutique hotel. Each of the 22 rooms is paneled with local wood and stone and all materials and furnishings are locally made. The panoramic windows look out over the private park and lake instigating a feeling of calm and total rest.
A Truly Wonderful Experience (wish we had stayed longer).
Reviewed By Pete BWe stayed here for three nights from 14th-17th March, but wish we had stayed longer. There is no point describing the history of the hotel, suffice to say that it is an Icon in Pucon, with a great back story. We arrived here to a really warm welcome from the duty Manager Beatrix and felt instantly at home. Another lady was arranging flowers in the reception (who I believe to be the owner) chatted casually to my Wife adding to the already positive feeling. Physically the Hotel is perched on possibly the best site in Pucon overlooking the lake in attractive and not "over" manicured gardens. Dating from the 1940's with it's signature Bauhaus design references, it does show some signs of age. However it is a time capsule and one that is lovingly maintained, giving one the flavour of its colourful history and striking architectural design. The bedrooms are more than comfortable and the dining area terrace and lounge areas perfectly in character, with what I believe to be most of the original furniture. The atmosphere is very relaxed, but professional. Use of all the facilities (pool, jacuzzi, sauna and beaches) is encouraged. The restaurant is open in the evenings with last orders at 8pm and breakfasts start at a leisurely 9am. Nonetheless, if you need breakfast early or dinner a little later, then nothing appears to be too much trouble. In fact, we had two early starts and one late return and they were more than happy to accommodate us. The menu is fairly limited, but very well crafted and presented along with a appropriate wines. If fact there were some absolutely delicious courses, well cooked and served by professional staff. Overall the Hotel Antumalal welcomes you as if you are a friend to their home and exudes a warmth and charm rarely found these days. Beatrix and her colleague (who's name I did not get) could not have been more helpful, kinder or more welcoming. They certainly went the extra mile to make us feel completely at home. And not forgetting Camilla, who works the restaurant floor as if it is her own, but with great enthusiasm, humour and charm. If you are wanting a corporate style, anonymous hotel, then is is probably not for you. If you want somewhere you can just truly relax and forget about the world outside and be truly spoilt, I can recommend this place. I would like to thank Beatrix and her colleagues for making our stay better than we could ever have expected. This is a real gem. Wish we had stayed longer!

In addition to this, it has a beautiful cascade pool overlooking lake, hot tubs and a sauna, to guarantee a pleasant stay in the magical south of Chile. The guests rooms are spacious and bright, with large windows overlooking the lake, free Wi-Fi, plasma TV and ceiling fan. Reviewed By BluelabelmaltI stayed there in February 2020. Excellent boutique family run hotel with each room overlooking the lake. It has a 300 meter hilly driveway right off the main room. Very quiet as it is setback and very relaxing and quite close 3-4 miles from center of pucon. Breakfast is lovely as were all the staff and owner couple. Highly recommend.

Reviewed By camillebA6490UXWe stayed at Chili Kiwi for 10 days and really felt at home. The hostel is perfectly located (right in front of the lake, in the city center). It has great outdoor spots (notably a terrasse in a tree facing the lake - perfect for sunsets). Clean areas, well equipped kitchens. The personal is super nice! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and hope we can come back ! Thanks again for this amazing stay
