Dropped in for dinner and they looked after us brilliantly We had a salad starter which we shared and then we had steak and chips which was cooked exactly how we wanted The lady from th kitchen was very helpful over gluten free and the guys behind the bar are really helpful and recommended a great bottle of red wine which wasnât too expensive We sat in the bar afterwards and had coffee and brandyâs We would definitely return and it was good valueNot much English spoken but we love that anyway as itâs better practice for our Spanish

Am I allowed to write an opinion on a restaurant in which I haven't eaten? Before visiting Zamora, my internet searches suggested that this is the only place in Zamora where vegetarians can eat well. This does seem to be the case - we found that all other restaurants serve the same things - seafood and tripe. After enjoying a delightful Christmas Concert at the Teatro Principal, we made our way to La Bocca di Bacco at about 10 pm. We arrived to find the place fully booked, the bar full of people waiting for tables, and more people spilling out into the street, so clearly it's an excellent restaurant. A lesson learned - if there's only one suitable place in town, MAKE A RESERVATION. Unfortunately I'm unlikely to revisit Zamora but wanted to write this review to assist other vegetarians who find it difficult to eat in parts of Spain.

Where to eat European food in Zamora: The Best Restaurants and Bars
