After a three week stay in the Basque Country, I can say that this very neat and tidy place, just opposite the beautiful cathedral in Lekeitio, has definitely the best tortillas at 1,50 per pinxcho.Try the one with bachalau (cod) or the traditional one with potatoes. It has one with chorizo too, and one with crab.Absolutely amazing! Sit on the terrace outside and enjoy the stubbibg view of the cathedral façade and the harbour.Muchas gracias por su opinion

We happened upon this place from a recomendation from a friend of a friend and was pleasantly surprised. It´s a bit seperated from the coast and when we arrived there was very few diners. After about 15 minutes the place was packed. We ordered the menu and stared with cured ham, then salad, king prawns. The mains were hake (merluza) entrocote. The food was great and the service top notch. If we return to the quaint coastal village we will definately eat here again. Highly recommended.

In the heart of Leketio, a village with very long fishing tradition, our restaurant offers a great variety of fresh seafood from the Cantabric and soft grilled meat. If you'd like to have a nice meal in a tranquile and cosy atmosphere, our establishment i
Stopped here for lunch. Great food - Gernika peppers, bacalao, sardines. Lovely lunch, washed down very well by a bottle of txakoli. Nice place to sit and watch the world go by. Lovely staff too!

After having some mediocre Pinxtos on the wharf, we stumbled across Bar Gallo. This friendly bar was full of locals and had the best selection of tapas (yes, Andalucian type food bites). We had the delicious salmorejo, gazpacho, lomo, olives and sardines with a couple glasses of fabulous wines. We sat at a wine barrel table in a typically decorated establishment and the guy behind the bar was so friendly and helpful! Thank you so much Bar Gallo!

The tourist information office in Lekeitio recommended this local favorite. We stopped in for lunch. Our timing couldn't have been better....after we secured a table, a line formed at the door. Unfortunately, our server couldn't speak English and our Spanish was limited. However, we managed to select dishes from the menu of the day. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing! My husband and I shared a salad and fresh fish which was accompanied by bread. I had a glass of the house white wine. We each had the most amazing cheese cake! Our server was very efficient but with the number of tables she was responsible for, there was little time for a smile. The focus of the restaurant is the food! It is a clean and understated establishment. The price point is very reasonable.

Good ambience in the backyard. I had a very tasty vegetarian burger, service was excellent and price was Good, 6⬠for my burger! My friend had a half portion of potato skins with three sauces, but it was a generous half portion! Definitely recommended place, I wanted to go again the next day but decided I had to try another place too.

Situated at water front, inside and outside tables and prices around half euro more expensive for latter. Simple atmosphere but good food. When we visited they had as day catch white tuna and octopus. Both were delicious, tuna dish was really big served with sallad and potatoes. Octopus was nice and tender. For starter with had fresh hot calamari. House chocolate cake was ok but nothing special. Enjoy meal with local txakoli. Friendly and quick service.

Met lovely people, very attentive service, food is sooooo tasty. I am from the states so had to try what they call "Kentucky fried chicken"....... amazing delicious, no syringe to inject poor abused bird with nasty fluids in sight! Will come back!

Basque traditional cuisine with fish and seafood
When in a new town we like to ask around for local recommendations and were not disappointed with this one. We were welcomed graciously and seated immediately. The food was delicious- simple but well done. What really stood out for us was the way they accommodated our friend who is a vegetarian. She was flexible for sure, but they made an amazing pasta dish that was well seasoned and copious. She was thrilled and we are thankful. After dinner we took a slow walk back into town feeling satisfied.
