Walking from a sun baked parking we were attracted by the shade of this small restaurant's black parasols. Opposite a square it seemed a classy, nice place for some pintxos and a glass of white wine. And so it was! Fresh, very tasteful pintxos, good wine and friendly staff, made this a great start of our visit in Gernika. Recommended! Tip: the covered market place around the corner is really worth a visit.

The hotel has a tapas bar as well as a full restaurant. the dishes are good though a bit over priced.

typical R & C (relais and chateaux) decor, beautiful room. Service very good. Delightful wait staff. Food was good but just not quite there. Other R & C's i've eaten or stayed at were really extraordinary and the food here...well...was just good. Not expensive, but not a burger joint, not casual. Just something that didn't quite leave us speechless. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing - I got monkfish and it's sort of hard to really get excited about that so maybe a different choice? Do not let me dissuade you; try for yourself, read other reviews. We enjoyed it but it didn't rise to the level i'd expected.

Excellent Traditional Restaurant in BakioGood food ! and view on the seaside. 26th August 2016I had grilled Foie Gras and my wife cod. Initially there was no space but after insisting there dressed up an additional table outside.Jacques

We were actually the only people in the restaurant but views over harbour meant that this didn't spoil our experience. Took set menu which was very good. Service fine although as we were the only customers this might have been expected.

Regular tapas with a nice view on the port. Service was friendly. It was really busy when we were there, mostly Spanish people.

This restaurant is a jewel nestled in the town of Bakio. It is an old iron foundry built in the sixteenth century. There, anchors, shackles for prisoners and farm tools were manufactured. In the eighteenth century it became mill for the production of cornmeal
We went to this restaurant twice. It is set in a beautifully restored mill and the grounds are gorgeous. However the food was simply overpriced and not on par with other places we ate on our trip to the Bizkaia. First time we had an expensive "degustacion" set menu and while we finished full the quality of food and the service were not that good. Basically the food was well presented but did not surprise and in our opinion was not worth the 70+ euro a head we paid. The second time we went because our friends wanted to try this restaurant - they read the positive reviews on tripadvisor. This time we had the cheaper set menu and it was simply disappointing - fatty and salty the usual tricks to mask the lack of care and quality.

Wonderful patio in front of the beach of Bakio. The view and the ambiance is very relaxing. The food was simple but good and tasty; specially the tomatoes salad of the garden. The waitress and the cook are very sympathetic.

TÃpico asador vasco.
Stopped by chance for lunch and although the place was very busy it seemed that locals were in the majority which is always a good sign. The service was excellent and quick and Anna looked after us perfectly.Had the menu of the day which was 3 courses and about 5 choices in each-.all for 12 Euros a person. For starters we had the fish soup which arrived in a large tureen with enough for 3 large bowls each plus fresh crusty bread. That itself would have satisfied us but the fish course for my wife and the meat course for me was too delicious to turn down!! Could not manage any more so just had coffee and unfortunately had to leave immediately for the airport.Lovely views and in the summer it is possible to eat outside on the terraceMuchas gracias por su opinión

Best restaurant in Bermeo. Excellent fresh fish and the best steaks, all cooked on the charcoal grill. 3 different dinning áreas, large parking and great views of the town and the ocean. 20 minutes away from the famous site, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. 35 m
nice atmosphere in a very authentic basque restaurant, nicely decorated. The food was good (garlic soup and the tuna in tomato sauce) but didn't meet my expectations which derived from the phantastic reviews. the plates were really cold hence the fish cooled down quickly. the service was a quite informal yet friendly. 65⬠for two soups, two tunas, two glasses of wine, a bottle of water and two coffees is on the upper end for the "whole thing"be aware if you order bubbled water they serve you vichy catalan, which contains lots of salt / natrium :)
