Cichi's is the quintessential of beauty among antique and modern. It's a mingle of the purity of a cuisine old school and the research of innovation.That's what I found in this restaurant last night where I was for a dinner with friends. Its relaxed atmosphere welcomes you in the subtle luxury, elegantly given to the guests with the soft coloured tables and chairs, the lovely glass multicoloured chandeliers hanging from the ancient ceilings of the caves. Yes because half of the restaurant is in the original natural grotto made of the typical stone of this area, tuff.So that when you enter,your attention is straight away absorbed by what must have been there for thousands of years and you are embraced by the warmth of natural stone and the cosy shape of a cave. Some tables are set in corners with soft light and ensure a certain intimacy. One larger room can accommodate larger groups.Once seated a polite waitress comes to take your drinks order that for us was local bottled water and a white Sauvignon from the northern Italian region Friuli, well chilled and nicely stored in an ice bucket hanged at the side of the table.Our starters came well presented, mine in particular was a mouthwatering polenta( made with corn flour) smothered with a small waterfall like of mashed cod on a thin layer of a green sauce pesto.The other starters were equally good and scenic.First courses were very tasty ravioli with braise, orecchiette pasta with a lovely tomato sauce, a salmon burgher in a homemade bun with sepia and chips. All came in high quality porcelain white plates that truly enhanced the good looking presentation of the food.Last but not least the heavenly desserts. We choose four different types and really couldn't tell which one was the best. We all tried a bit of each and praised them all. The chocolate, cream and curd profiteroles served in a one only large puff, was overwhelming for the palate. The coffee mousse with puff pastry flakes just melted in the mouth. All of them looking like a painting, presented with inventiveness.The good quality of the food gave our evening such a pleasant time.But it is also the discrete yet elegant presence of the owners that give a special touch to the guests staying. They are always there checking that all is well and willing to spend a word with the clients.This is a restaurant to keep an eye on. It's also a good idea to follow the seasons with them because their menu changes with the seasonal products.Beautiful location in this town Tuscania, so full of art and around,a landscape of lush nature.

Visited Tuscania to see the old part of town. Picked this restaurant because it did not look like a restaurant in an ancient town. Contemporary look. Great wine by the glass, Pasta was fantastic.Pleasant helpful staff

Piacevole ristorante nel centro storico di Ischia, con prezzi non proprio popolari mitigati dal fatto che è spesso in promozione su the form. Molto buono il risotto con gamberi, asparagi e bottarga, ottimi il polpo alla brace su crema di piselli e l'orata in crosta di patate.

Really excellent, thoughtful cooking in a charming corner of pretty Tuscania, (visit San Pietro and Santa Maria Maggiore). Fixed menu of fishy delights, lost track of the number of dishes that came out. All were delicious. â¬40 each for a feast including wine, water, pudding, coffee and digestif. A real treat, thank you!

Non va. Secondo me questa location avrebbe un potenziale enorme ma la cucina lascia davvero a desiderare!! Una gestione quantomeno dubbia..Queste sono recensioni che in tutta onestà eviterei perché comunque dispiace non poter esprimere sempre un parere positivo.Ma bisogna anche pensare che i lettori di tripadvisor vanno messi al corrente che piuttosto che tornare qui, cercherei un altro posto.Davvero poche cose hanno funzionato e il costante sentore di prodotti datati, non freschi o addirittura confezionati, mi ha tenuto compagnia durante tutto il tempo.Peccato.
Mi spiace, ma queste persone o meglio il gestore deve fare altro nella vita, perché non capire che il sabato il venerdì serve uno o forse 2 rinforzi in sala non si può aspettare ore e mangiare in maniera a dir poco penosa pasta scotta tutte, birra calda, gelati li abbiamo lasciati sul tavolo ed alla fine trovarsi un conto importante senza neanche le scuse....improvvisati all italiana

I was in Canino for one night only and naturally consulted Tripdvisor to find the best place to eat.I visited the restaurant and was warmly greeted by the host Sandro.Unfortunately we do not speak the same language but that did not stop us from having wonderful conversation.I asked for him to bring me the best dishes they have and I was not disappointed. The food was exquisite. Endless amounts of truffle shavings on almost every course certainly made the meal even more special.One gets the feeling that every dish on their menu would be amazing. All are prepared with passion by his wife and daughter in the kitchen.The pricing is extremely reasonable - especially as they are specialists in truffle!It was a fantastic experience and I also believe I have made a great friend. I have promised to return in November and hopefully will be able to speak better Italian then.I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and has been the highlight of my three weeks driving around Italy. Bellissimo! Grazie!
