I can strongly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious and the chef will simply not allow anything else than a perfect dish to be sent to your table! Beautiful presentation of the dishes and a constantly changing menu. High quality of the ingredients, a great chef and good service, make a lunch or dinner at Pira to a perfect and tasteful experience. We had several meals here during our Easter holiday in Montalto di Castro and plan to go back in the future. Locale grazioso ed anche migliorato con alcuni accorgimenti indovinati.Si conferma la bontà del cibo, che, pur prevalentemente di pesce, consente anche di variare su piatti di terra.La scelta non è vastissima, ma il pesce sempre fresco, l'innovazione nelle proposte, la bontà del mangiato, vale il detto: meglio meno ma di qualità .Il sevizio è professionale ma non formale, gentile e accogliente.Prezzi più che accettabili.Riconsigliato.

Very nice location (on the beach). However, the restaurant was very pricy and the quality of the food was very poor. We paid for a plate of anchoives from the can and for mussels mostly closed. The waiter was very unfriendly as well when we asked to have another plate of decent mussels. It's been a horrible experience. Stay away from that place if you can!

Excellent fish by the sea! We had a delicious meal - if you're visiting the Etruscan ruins this is a nice stop for lunch! We were the only ones there and the service was great.

Ottimo agriturismo in cui gustare dal pesce alla pizza a prezzi buoni, con un servizio migliorabile in velocità .Durante la bella stagione dispone di tavoli all'aperto.Conviene prenotare.Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti della pizza. Ci ritorneremo!

Well placed and well decorated. I had a good and fresh salad plus fish,"catch of the day", it was ok. Maybe some younger waitress could do a bit better with politeness but were always professional.

Went to sottosale following my oldest daughter induction session for her sailing school (mal di mare). We had dinner as a family (4) plus two friends. Kids had pizza - very good: high quality flour and real haven. Grown ups went for fish - very very fresh and nicely cooked. Setting is equally pleasant with a modern feeling and a beautiful lawn in front. Service level of top quality: friendly and right balance of being present but not too present. Price very reasonable given overall quality of the experience. All in, sotto sale comes as highly recommended as an alternative to better known restaurants in the area. Worth trying
