Bonding rural tastes and the excellence of Maremma traditions, I found the cozy Cavatappi the perfect place to spend a few hours with very friends in one of the most beautiful roman villages ever. Cherished ingredients handled with care combined with real delightful local vines, come along with an experienced and professional staff, welcoming you with a pleasant and informal elegance.

Had lunch outside on a beautiful, sunny day in early November. A few outdoor tables with maybe 6-8 tables inside. Service was very slow. I had pasta carbonara-very good but a bit dry. House wine very good. No coperto. Bill was 24E for 2 with 1/2 liter of house wine and water. Quite reasonable. Would consider retuning but need to explore other restaurants in the area

We had a nice lunch with three families, 7 adults and 7 children. The sunny day allowed the kids to play all the time in the garden. We ate traditional food in abundance and quality. Appetizers, first and second courses. We also celebrated the birthday of one of the child, eating a delicious cake. To go back again.

The Restaurant "Capanna del Buttero" with all the meat specialties, is open from October 2019 until April 2020.
Really loved this place. Lovely setting, really good staff - especially one guy (can't remember his name but you'll know the one I mean if you go there - very attentive, professional and friendly, guess Bruno?).We had the beef steak from the grill. The fattest, most juiciest, tastiest steak I have ever had. So good we came back for a second. The first meal was good too - pretty huge so don't order it and expect a light snack! This was a full-on meal. It's worth going back to Tarquinia just to visit this restaurant again. Can't say how amazing it was. We also got a discount for staying at Hotel Tarconte near the restaurant.Value for money absolutely equal.

We arrive a little early! The waitress was so nice and let us sit and have a glass of prosecco while we waited for the restaurant to open. The restaurant is beautifully furnished and very welcoming. The food was the best I have eaten in awhile. The lobster spaghetti was absolutely marvelous! Very unique menu and affordable.

The "LUPO DI MARE" restaurant is closed from September 10, 2019 and will again be open from Saturday, June 15, 2020 until Saturday, September 7, 2020
The architecture of this museum is Stunning! Filled with sarcophagi -and in one room, galloping high are the two sculptured horses that are the symbol of this city (just fantastic!) stairs that are so easy to climb, very low rise at a slant. On an upper floor is a huge empty room with great arched windows around two sides, giving you a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea. We lingered long as the swallows sang flying high

Siamo una Ristorante Stagionale il nostro periodo di apertura va dai primi di Aprile a fine Settembre.
The seafood antipasti was quite good, the rest not so much. As a first course I had ravioli with meat sauce, which were alright, but nothing special. For the main course I chose salmon with three different crusts, which sounds good, but was not in practice. The fish was quite dry and the crusts (sesame and different nuts) completely overwhelmed the flavor of the salmon. It wasn't terrible, but I was nevertheless disappointed.

Visited the Tarquinia out of season in early December, so chilly and rain! Looking for somewhere to eat for lunch we spotted this place just off the main street. Totally unpretentious and with a open fire! We were the only diners and treated like friends; the owners' young daughter came in from school and had a great looking pasta dish, what a lucky kid! The menu was short and cooked to order. It was all a twist on typical Italian food but delicious to a fault. We had 2 courses and shared the desert and only a couple of glasses of wine as we were driving. An absolute bargain for the quality at E54. A must visit if passing through. They deserve every success.
