A friend of ours recommended this restaurant if traveling to Asiago. We both tried the bigoli style pasta, but they offer various types if you prefer other spaghetti styles. It was very crowded when we entered the place, but the waitress got us a table ready in about 10 minutes. It stayed crowded for the whole meal with people streaming in and out of the restaurant. We both enjoyed the plates we ordered and both were good portions which we couldn't finish. I wouldn't say it was a wonderful meal although it was good and quite filling. The prices are okay. They pair each dish with a beer, which the restaurant has a varied menu to choose from. There are many German and Belgian beers which is a plus when visiting this establishment. The only real negative was we asked for a to-go box because we had quite a bit of past left. The waitress never returned with our to-go box. My wife and I decided we'd eat there again on our next trip up the mountain.

Arrived in Asiago at lunch time and realised it was 10 deg C than down the mountain so soon were looking for somewhere to eat and keep warm! It's a very small cafe which mainly serves drinks but also do a few dishes for lunch. The owner was lovely and really made us feel welcome and did well to tell us what food was available that day. In the end we chose the mixed plate of meat and the plate of cheese between the 4 of us - in fact it ended up 2 plates of each between us which was nice. Good selection of meats and there were around a dozen different cheeses all named on the serviette. Really a good and tasty way to experience the food of the town.A couple of us had the Nutella crepes for dessert which were also very good.Overall a nice friendly place with a small menu of good food.

Located in the center of Asiago, the Ristorante Pizzeria Magia offers a wide selection of fragrant pizzas and excellent dishes, even gluten-free (AIC certified).
I show up by myself on a Sunday just after 1:00 pm, absolute peak time. I am kindly offered a table near the entrance, apologizing for the fact that this was a sub-optimal location. As a matter of fact, the location was absolutely fine and I was soon helped by a very courteous waitress that helped me navigate the creative menu. I had a local twist on pizza (Asiago Cheese with Soppressa) which was a delicious mix that I had never tried before. Some good German beer helped me enjoy the food even more. Overall a very good experience, professional under every aspect. As some other reviewers have said the ambiance is a little bit cold and what they would need to massively improve it is to just embellish the entrance area.

We were looking for a nice place to eat in Canove. It was a bit late and we were worried not to find an opened place. In front of the old train station we found this little treasure. It's an hotel with restaurant. As you enter you soon realize how the location is nice and cozy. It's a wooden room warm and elegant. Service is very good and the waiter is gentle and smiley. We ordered a juicy and tender beef steak (it's very big and can be shared by two person) and a duck fillet. They have a very good local wine Brentino of Maculan that is one of the best quality-price wine of the area. Desserts are also very good (we tried crema cotta allo spumante).

Deserved number one spot in Asiago for this restaurant that will make you puzzled looking at it from the outside. Humble exteriors but once you walk through the door you just know it will be a great dining experience. Extraordinary customer care for a country like Italy where you might get treated like a nuisance in some places: here you are spoiled by the waiters who will take care of all your needs. The meats are cooked on a fireplace locaated at the back of the room (few seats, reserving is a must) and the cold meats are cut fresh in front of you. The dishes combine the local traditions with the experiment and presentation you expect in a top restaurant. Lovely desserts too. The bill comes at around 50⬠per head including drinks and tip, we had starters (antipasti), main course, dessert, coffee and liquers (on the house). The only price I found a bit steep was the antipasti (21⬠each), everything else I woud say it's correctly priced. Very good all around dining experience.

Small Restaurant, Very Nice And Clean, The Staff Is Very Friendly.
Quiet, small restaurant with a nice ambiance. The decor was very well done. The service was good and the chef came out to explain the food and take the order. I had the pasta with speck and mushrooms. Very good. Located in the downtown area. Motorcycled through here. Didn't expect much of Asiago (thought it would be support town for the local agriculture) but it was GORGEOUS. Very chic little town, lovely square, beautiful buildings. We sat outside on the terrace. People watching. Will definitely come back to this part of the world. The food looked fantastic. They were equally happy to serve us espresso and a cookie.

Wanted to have local mountain food. We asked a local vendor and she directed us to La Locanda. We were not disappointed. Giulia are waitress was amazing. We were there the two nights of our stay in Asiago. The cheese and cured meat platter was fantastic. Gnocchi with mountain grasses in the dough with a plain butter rabbit and polenta, fresh pasta with deer ragu. The restaurant is a pleasant warm feeling. You must try this place, you will not be disappointed.
