Our hotel suggested us to have dinner in this restaurant and we were not disappointed! Place was very clean and stylish, white table cloths etc. The waiter was very professional and helpful to us. He kindly explained every dish to us in English, because unfortunately our Italian isn't any good. :) At starters we had bone marrow and foie gras croquets - both very nice. Main courses were Parmesan filled tortellini and slowly cooked turkey (or some sort) with interesting and extremely tasteful garnish. With the wine's that the waiter suggested us, the food was excellent! The menu was very moderately priced compared to the quality of food and service. If you are staying anywhere near this region - I will highly recommend this place! At the time we visited (early June) they were open for lunch time and then again at dinner starting at 19:00 pm.

Dinner was ok. The food was cold. The waiter was really enthusiatic about the food and we took what he suggested. It was eatable but nothing that I would come back for.

We stopped at Ai Torcoli for lunch while touring Valpolicella and its wineries. The restaurant has a wonderful view of the countryside. Our server was friendly and spoke some English. The food and wine were very enjoyable. It was a great place to stop and take a break from the winding roads.

We were hoping for a nice mountain village place to eat, and I caught a glimpse as we passed by. I turned around and am glad we did. The food was excellent, the menu was interesting, good wine list. The service was super friendly. Try the moustardo.

We visited this lovely restaurant on the recommendation of our guide and had a superb afternoon. Ristorante Casale Spighetta is beautifully situated atop a hillside, just outside Verona, with incredible panoramic views. Chef Angelo Zantedeschi came out and personally described his menu which is comprised of fresh local foods. He offers traditional Italian fare influenced by his Middle Eastern culinary experience. We dined on the outside terrace, starting with a beautiful bread basket of warm rolls and grissini. I had a trio of local salami and cheese to start (easily was large enough to share), and then a perfectly prepared sea bass accentuated by fresh yellow mushrooms, while husband dined on gnocchi and a lovely, rich veal dish.We left the wine recommendation up to Chef Angelo and were rewarded with a delicious, and very reasonably priced Volpicella, from a local winery. Decadent chocolate truffles and a small glass of a local liqueur were a perfect end to the meal. We spent two+ hours at the restaurant, and could have spent the entire afternoon sipping wine and enjoying the view. It was definitely the culinary highlight of our trip to Italy.

Visited this great restaurant three times last week. On each occasion we were greeted as old friends. Service is excellent, we did not speak Italian and the waiter didnât have much English but between us we selected some really good dishes. First night we did three courses, on the second we reduced to two as three were too much. The owner and his staff were very friendly even when we turned up with a party of seven without booking on our last visit. The two children in our group were very welcomed and they loved everything.Dear Raemoriman, thank you for your evaluationwe are very excited about your words. You and your friends will be ever welcome in our Trattoria's familyHave a great day

Le Piere used to be in nearby Mizzole and was something of a gourmet delight. Since they moved, little if anything (apart from the name) remains from the previous restaurant. As a Locanda/Osteria, without previous expectations, it would have been fine, but we expected more....The good bits.:- prices are more than competitive - cheap even - but selection is poor (no fish, little for veggies.). Very busy even on a midweek evening which probably resulted in our significant delay between courses. Surprising really as this place really is in the middle of nowhere - deep in the narrow Valle Squaranto reached by narrow winding roads and a good 40 minute drive from Verona. As to the food - the antipasti were the highlight and it went downhill from there. Rib steak was very disappointing veal (not proper seasoned beef steak) and Gnocchi di ricotta was just ricotta and very heavy and hard going. Interesting building and exceptional for a simple "Locanda" but make no mistake, this is not the natural successor to the original Le Piere. Probably won't return - other better restaurants much closer to Verona and suburbs. Some may like being in a long, narrow "v" shaped, dark, densely tree'd valley, but we prefer an open panorama about 400 metres above all this, and there are plenty of better dining opportunities elsewhere.

The food was really good with many different dishes to choose from. Local pasta dishes with a real âcooked by nonnaâ feeling. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Prices are very good and one gets real value for money. All in all, itâs a must!
