There aren't too many experiences that compare with meandering along the Soave wine road in late summer or autumn (or any season, for that matter), and stopping at the numerous wineries to taste and buy delicious white, red, and/or prosecco wine. You're totally surrounded by hilly vineyards and cherry orchards...I highly recommend it! A highlight of our recent wine-buying jaunt was stopping for lunch at the Albergo (they have 8 rooms) Ristorante Tregnago, a family owned and run restaurant since 1908. (closed Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday)..the restaurant is about 30 minutes from Vicenza.(Their website is: www.ristorantetregnago.com). The owners and waitstaff are very friendly and English is spoken--our waiter lived in New York for a time and has an English wife....My husband and I enjoyed our 3 course lunch (E45 each, including wine, water, after dinner drink--a little expensive, but definitely worth it since the food was delicious and of high quality) in an intimate dining room (6 tables-seating 30)--we would have preferred to dine outside, but we were preempted by a wedding reception...beautiful well-maintained park and fountain on the grounds. All of our lunch choices were well-cooked and perfectly seasoned...my husband said that it was the best meal that he'd had in the recent past.We definitely plan to return in the near future to sample other intriguing choices on the menu. They offer a fresh fish/seafood menu (as well as the standard menu) from Thursday-Sunday.
Sono arrivato a questo ristorante dopo aver letto precedenti recensioni su questo sito e ci sono venuto per pranzo.Location moto carina, in un posto tranquillo, appartato e rilassante. Menù molto semplice e casalingo come mi aspettavo. Abbiamo preso due tagliate con contorno di patate al forno e verdure grigliate, un acqua e mezzo di vino. Carne e contorni buoni, vino accettabile ma porzioni un po' striminzite: da un posto così mi sarei aspettato un po' più di abbondanza nel piatto.Servizio casalingo e abbastanza veloce. Prezzi molto contenuti (10 euro a testa).

Visited this great restaurant three times last week. On each occasion we were greeted as old friends. Service is excellent, we did not speak Italian and the waiter didnât have much English but between us we selected some really good dishes. First night we did three courses, on the second we reduced to two as three were too much. The owner and his staff were very friendly even when we turned up with a party of seven without booking on our last visit. The two children in our group were very welcomed and they loved everything.Dear Raemoriman, thank you for your evaluationwe are very excited about your words. I had dinner here 3 times during a recent visit to the region and I will certainly be coming back. The atmosphere was welcoming and the food and wine excellent. I always enjoy a carefully compiled menu where the dishes are expertly prepared and presented and it was great to get expert advice on the ideal accompanying wine. I also enjoyed learning about the close relationships the owner has with his food and wine suppliers and how together they work hard to provide consistent high quality. All restaurants should be as open, honest and committed as Barrique!Thank you so much. In addition to quality, it is important for us to know how to advise the customer on what to combine with our food.

Ristorante con unica sala molto ampia e spaziosa, con arredamento che ammicca ai bar americani anni '50; hanno anche uno spazio giochi per i bambini.Il menù propone un po' di hamburgers da 250 gr. (di manzo e di pollo), tre hamburgers della casa (con carni e formaggi di zona); manzo e pollo alla griglia. I prodotti usati per i piatti sono genuini e molto gustosi e le portate buone e pienamente soddisfacenti, la tagliata che ho provato io era cotta bene e gustosa.Offrono anche dei piatti vegani. Propongono delle birre artigianali molto buone: io ho provato una ale con aggiunta di miele di castagno che era molto saporita e gustosa.Il servizio è semplice e casalingo e celere; il personale molto gentile.I prezzi direi sono nella media: una tagliata con rucola e grana, verdure grigliate, birra artigianale e caffè a 26 euro.

I'm from Verona and I have been traveling in the US. Since I love meat I've tried a lot of different restaurants but the feelings I try here every time I go... they are just unique. You need the car to reach this place that is right in a little town just outside Verona (about 30 minutes driving from the city center). The food is so good, the wine selection pretty big and even if its a lil pricy... you will go back!

We came here as it was closest to our hotel and we wanted something simple and cheap. It's not in the best of locations close to a busy road but we weren't looking for romance that evening. This restaurant is a bar and restaurant and was popular with locals 20/30 somethings in the evening for drinks. The food was really delicious. I had pasta with pears and pine nut and it was sublime.

We had a business dinner and decided to try these restaurant. From the beginning the Staff was very profesional, friendly and I think with good knowledge on what they are doing. We had a big (1,5kg) T-bone steak and it was cooked perfectly. The meat was very tender, due to dry aging and the flawor was intense.The meat was not seasoned at all, but they give you salt with it. Maybe could be seasoned little bit specially with pepper, but in general it was very good.Also proposals from stuff were very helpfull and on place. If you like meat I would defenetly recomend these place to everyone.
