Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Mestre. While Venice’s mainland suburb of Mestre has a history and character all its own dating back to medieval times, it owes its growth and fortune to its more powerful offshore neighbor. Unfortunately, it’s everything Venice is not: modern, industrial and cheap. But while they may not compare to the romantic canals of Venice, Mestre does have attractions of its own, including the Torre (Tower) dell'Orologio and the Duomo (Cathedral) di San Lorenzo, located on its town square, Piazza Ferretto.

Amazing place in reasonably remote location.Wonderful selection of draft Beers, I could change every day of the week and not try all to my own palate! The basic and simple Food is simply just REALLY REALLY Well done. Really clean place, way bigger and far more seating areas than we realized after our second visit in 3 days! Just don't come here and expect to sit down, it is really popular and no wonder why. The staff are really helpful and accommodating, especially considering they are constantly flat out. I have already had a MASSIVE and SERIOUSLY High Quality burger, a Pork & Hot Dog Bap, my Wife has had an exceptional Pork and Salad Toasted Meal with fresh Salad as well as a regular Toasted Sandwich.

I found this place on the TripAdvisor website and the reviews looked reasonable but once there I was beginning to wonder if we had found the right place. It is a basic cafe with some outdoor seating. It was still fairly early when we arrived and there was a list on the specials board and we were advised that only paella which my husband chose., I asked about spaghetti and was told what was available on the menu and I opted for carbonara. OK I can concede that since it was a Sunday perhaps a full menu would not be available.I had water and my husband had a glass of wine while waiting for the food.My husband said the paella was good although not a huge portion. My carbonara was not huge either and, quite frankly, I can make better at home. However the bill at around â¬20 was not large.

Visited here last week for lunch as it was right next to our hotel, it was very busy and the staff were friendly. Food was ok, we had the spaghetti carbonara as it had become our italian favourite whilst we were touring different cities for 2 weeks, but unfortunately this place doesn't come close to other places we dined in, including resturants and cafes in central Venice. The coffee was nice.

We were looking forward to our visit we ordered 2 meals carbonara and ravioli with spinach. Ravioli, apart from the tiny portion size which was small it was tasteless and dry. Would not go back which is a shame because the staff were nice and there was an atmosphere. Bar part is fine.

Staying in the Mestre area and noticed this place on our arrival, decided to check it out on the evening. Did not disappoint, small quirky bar with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere from the staff. Great selection of beers and snacks. Went back two nights in a row, would definitely go back and recommend to others. Try your luck at hitting the centre of the magnetic dart board with your beer cap!

We were staying a short distance away at Villa Barbarich, saw the reviews on TA and paid a visit. Great food, very simple but that's just what we needed. Brilliant service, really reasonable prices, home made limoncello at the end (for free) which was lovely. Would highly recommend! In fact we liked it so much we visited twice.

Bistrot 55 is simply a new concept of food! Made to accompany the world of pizzas steamed buns, snacks, burgers and of our dishes: you will meet beautiful and tasty dishes, a bit traditional and a bit strange... you'll love it!
Everything is so flavoursome and thereâs a great selection on the menu. Extremely reasonably priced for what you get and the quality of the food. Our waiter spoke very good English and provided a brilliant service. Would return in a heartbeat if we were to return to Mestre!
