We attended here while playing "tourist" in Switzerland; which proved to be an awesome find. We dined outdoors, which overlooks the waterway. The view was awesome...as was the food & service. We had risotto...which proved to be the best we have ever had. There were many other 'Italian food' options on the menu as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you have the chance. We only speak English, but it was not a problem with staff here....as they too spoke English.

The restaurant has a great terrace directly at the lake. It offers a great choice of local and seasonal food. There are some meals with meat and fish, but most dishes are vegetarian. The plates are decorated creatively and look and taste extremely delicious. We definitively recommmend this place for a romantic evening and an awesome Ticinesi summer night at the water.thanks from all the staff we look forward to your next visit...

It was the second time that we could afford this fancy restaurant at the outskirts of Varese. One of the reasons was definitely also the fact that they offer gluten-free food/pasta but the main reason is the high quality of the food, the service, how the table is decorated, etc. Only when being seated inside, you see that they would need to improve a bit the interior (for ex., wall painting).The food is definitely excellent, the service perfect. What should we say more: if you know a bit how to distinguish ordinary (good) food from extraordinary (good) food, then you should try this restaurant. It is worth the money (though you have to leave some amount of it ...).

We stayed at the swiss diamond hotel for two nights using a voucher from a deal which we bought last year. We have stayed in lots of hotels and with time you automatically compare them and i must say i was disappointed with the way we were treated and didn't feel for one moment well looked after which i would expect with a five star hotel . Is every one treated like this or was it because we had a special offer??!!The first morning our coffee was cold, the second one they brought was very weak and the third was a very strong expresso. In the end i was the one apologizing..... Not them :( The rooms were clean and i slept well. The wellness area was a bit of a mix of different Designs and sparse with the extras which you usually get like different teas, fruit and nuts. The big plus was the very long opening times from the area and the lovely warm pool. A shame the massage jets don't work. A lovely sunny trip out on the bikes from the hotel started off great only for my partners bike to break and us having to walk back most of the way to the hotel, no apologies or interest taken . If you supply bikes for your guests they should be in good condition and regularly had a service... After handing in the room cards and paying the taxes the man serving me didn't find it necessary to even say goodbye let alone wish me a safe journey home. If thats five star i think i'd rather stay at home.

It's many year that I'm going there for lunch. I never was satisfied with the service, but I alway went there because of the beautiful lake view. The courtesy never was their speciality, but yesterday it was the last time I went there.When we came, nobody welcome us, as the waiter finally decided to tell us where to sit, he was complaining about the temperature! Oh helloooo, welcooome!There was a group of road worker drinking coffee, and the waiter was laughing and poke fun at a client, an older woman that was shouting at her husband that she "were there". Whereupon he was speaking very laud and telling them that he would hate children, and that he don't want them in his restaurant!I think that there is a limit for everything...Nice view, but worst service I ever had! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant!
