Glad to try this restaurant after reading TripAdvisor review. The dining room is quite small and separated from the bar which is great. Service was excellent and food was simply delicious. For starters, we had salmorejo and micuit. The soup was good but I liked the foie better.Main was bonito del norte and manitas de cerdo, both done very well.Deserts were mousse de caramelo and carpaccio de pi, a sweet end to our meal.

A friend recommended this place. We made reservations because they only have 7 tables. The service is mom and pop, but they are willing to please. They have a daily menu of 1st and 2nd plates, 3 items to choose from. I had a salad and bacalao, plus wine and dessert, all for 10â¬. The food was fantastic and well served. The owner gave my sister the recipe for her dish and invited her into the kitchen for a foto! We left incredibly satisfied.

If only all tapas served in Spain was as nice as this. The portions sizes and menu was traditional, but most places are round here. The food was excellent, great flavours and some very unique dishes alongside the traditional dishes. I recommend the Chili octopus, shame you can't order a large!

There are people who are talented at what they do. There are others that put in a lot of passion. But few manage to combine talent and passion as harmoniously as Damaso Vergara. At a first impression the restaurant Damaso is not a canonical place. A tiny place in the middle of an even tinier village, with rather cozy, warm, informal atmosphere and a friendly staff that makes you feel immediately at ease. There is no -printed- menu; it is the chef Damaso who actually describes to each guest what's on the menu (depending on the freshest ingredients he found in the market). Then the surprise: every single dish is a carefully assembled symphony of flavors and textures digging their roots into the local tradition but with a fantastic spin of freshness, multiple source of inspiration and experimentation, all plated with care and a very good sense of balance and aesthetics.I wonât spend more words describing the many dishes Iâve experienced, as I have probably tried the most of them over a period of several years, having been there so many times. The overall perception though is worth mentioning: not a single one left me ever disappointed, perhaps some where less spectacular, but again, overall a full satisfaction each and every time I have been there.I also wonât recommend any of the dishes, as I believe the best way to experience this place is to share several in order to taste most of the menu, particularly given that it is possible to opt for half-portions (Besides, the menu is seasonal and based on the market availability anyway). And the wine listâ¦well, there is not exactly a wine list. Just ask Damaso, and he will find an interesting option from his cellar! The bill is finally is another (good) surprise. For a full dinner with two half-entrees (usually preceded by an amuse bouche), a main, a couple of dessert shared for the table, red and dessert wine I usually pay below 50 Euro/pax. Yeah, it might be a slightly higher bill than a traditional restaurant, but when I compare it to all the other Michelin star restaurants I have been to across the globe (and Damaso despite not having any star should definitely be compared with such places) it is definitely a fare bill.No wonder it is ranking in the top list of must-go restaurants, it is perhaps the best hidden gem of the whole of Castilla y Leon.Enhorabuena Damaso!

What a fantastic buzzing place, just off the mayoral square. About nine wines served and all poured from magnums. Tapas is as good as it gets. There is an English menu and pictures for those who donât understand English or Spanish. This place hums and is packed, so you may not get seating immediately. Have a drink and wait, the tapas is excellent.

Never quite sure what to expect with TripAdvisor reviews, but this tiny place was the perfect destination for my wife and I after a long day of wine tasting in Pesquera. Service at the bar (we had no reservation but arrived unfashionably early at 20:00 and found the door open) was top class with the 3 brothers putting together a very complete display of how a restaurant should be run. Simple food, beautifully seasoned, as the photos can attest. Loved the informality of the locale and the seasonal, local-sourced approach. We will surely visit on many future occasions.

What a gem of a restaurant. Situated in the middle of Valladolid, this place offers fine dining or just tapas. We went for fine dining, there are two options, a short menu or a long menu. The short was â¬45 and the long (I think) â¬65. The short gave us at least 5 courses of absolutely fantastic food. English was limited, however, Patricia resorted to her phone for translations. Food was outstanding and service excellent, well done. ¡Thank you Roeding!!Thank you for your visit and for your recommendation. We hope to see you soon in Alquimia

Love this place. Great bar for tapas and typical Spanish dishes. I make a point to stop by and eat the morcilla or the pincho moruno every time I come to valladolid. David is one of the best chefs in the region and his staff along with my good friend David Pueyo and the rest of the Cubas team is great! 100% recommendable.
