Reviews on Spanish food in Valencia, Province of Valencia, Spain. You’ll find plenty of orange trees here, but the fruit known as the "Valencia orange" was actually developed in California. Travelers interested in local food should focus on paella instead. While the city contains many monuments, Valencia’s modern crown jewel is the City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic complex of museums, cinemas, theaters, and more.

Smart restaurant in the heart of Valencia with authentically Italian food, specialty in our homemade fresh pasta and all desserts. Best pizza in Valencia. Extensive wine list and Italian appetizer. Premium Gins and other beveragues.
San Tommaso is in the old town and it is stunning inside and out. The outside is calm and beautiful. Once inside the walls have great murals and the tables are very comfortable. The menu is extensive so there is something for everyone. Even a vegan can find something they love, and if not there is always the great Sangria. We love all of the pasta dishes. There is one with pine nuts and shrimp which is just amazing. The Focaccia with ham is so tasty. The salads are fresh from the local markets and you can't go wrong with any of them. Their wine list is nice and well priced. What we especially love is the service. The servers are so kind and will help with the menu and any questions you have. They don't rush you and you can just relax and have an amazing meal. You must go there.

The tapas were Spanish with some fusion flavors. But they were excellent. The mushroom tapa was divine. We only ate tapas and dessert. But we were stuffed afterwards. The waitress helped pick out our wine, which was very tasty and spot on. The food was delivered in a tiered fashion so nothing got cold. We sat outside and it was later in the night so it was pretty quiet. The prices were not remarkable ie I donât remember feeling like I over paid. Highly recommend.

We open the bar 10 years ago. We offer a fresh and tasty food, with a gluten-free and vegetarian option.
This was not quite what I expected from the reviews but good nonetheless. This little bar is in the student district so is priced accordingly. No frills, but pleasant service and good food. Worryingly cheap wine, but actually quite drinkable! Am sure there are plenty of better tapas bars, but if you want good food at a reasonable price and are not looking for neighbourhood ambiance then this is a find.

The menu at Ricard Camarena Restaurant (Michelin Star and three Repsol Suns) is a successful combination of taste, absolute respect for the product, an understated creative cuisine grounded in tradition with cosmopolitan and Mediterranean influences and b
We booked this restaurant for our wedding anniversary while staying in Valencia. On the morning of our meal, we got an email/whats app message to confirm our dietary needs. My wife is allergic to shellfish, which I already confirmed to them, and I re-confirmed this again when replying to their message. When we arrived at the restaurant, they reconfirmed that they knew my wife was allergic to shellfish. We both ordered the ten-course "Ricard Camarena" tasting menu but were then advised that my wife couldn't have it due to her allergy and they could not substitute some of the dishes with a non-shellfish option. She was advised to have the seven course "Synthesis" tasting menu. This resulted in her having nothing to eat for long periods which is not acceptable. We have been in other fine dining establishments before and they were always able to accommodate my wife. This restaurant was told numerous times about her allergy but were completely inflexible and unable to meet the needs of the diner. The FAQs section in their website states that they can adapt their menu if they are given plenty of notice and if the allergy is not too severe. Many people have an allergy to shellfish and it not considered unusual. To compound matters, they then proceeded to give my wife a starter containing squid which can be considered as shellfish with people with a shellfish allergy. They did replace this starter with a second dessert but as with some other courses, I was eating on my own. Ignoring all the above, the food was extremely underwhelming but we did find a nice bottle of wine to try to rescue the night. When we ordered a second bottle, we were told they did not have one so we had to go look for another bottle.Overall, we were extremely disappointed and were glad to leave.

New restaurant in Valencia, speciality in rice, paella and Mediterranean cuisine. Come and meet us, we have the best prices.
Our hotel tried all day to make a reservation, but the phone was constantly busy. So, without a reservation, we were welcomed, shown a nice table and served by smiling attentive staff. The small outside entrance hides a beautifully appointed surprisingly large multi-story eating area. Our meal was super, the wine was delicious (and reasonably priced) and the whole experience was totally top-shelf. Really, this is a professionally run restaurant with warm small-town feeling. Our whole experience was five star all the way.

Salón grande luminoso con terraza comda mediterránea muy bien comunicado con chef reconocido con cocina de autor.
We were quite disappointed with the lunch menu and especially the terrible service. The food was a mixed bag, Cloxinas, Gazpacho & Rice quite nice, Albóndigas very salty, salad and dessert nothing to write home about. But the worst was the service, totally ignored for 1/2 hour and the waiter with the glasses couldn't care less about his customers. Later a guy who was quite willing took over and the owner looks like he belongs somewhere else, but not in his own restaurant. No recommend, better go somewhere else, esp. if you are not part of the close circle of Valenciano friends and a foreigner.

ALENAR it's a former word in valencian language that means: to breath deeply. Actually it is what we usually do when we are in front of our beloved Mediterranean sea. Come and feel the sea, eat the Mediterranean way! Take your time and enjoy! Full kitchen
We visited Alenar because of the Tripadvisor 4 and a half stars and were heavily disappointed because that is a bar with tables that serves canned stuff with a touch of innovation. The quality is medium, including their three kinds potatoes, their canned tuna and even their sardines. It was too late to change but we found it very disappointing. We are a tapa's bar: this a traditional way of eating at Spain that consists on ordering many tapas that go at the center of the table and everyone shares it. We are a genuine valencian tapa's place. Most of them are cold but some warm. It's a pity that you didn't understand the traditional concept as the vast majority does with top quality local products. But obliviously, it's impossible to delight everyone.

Extremely popular paella restaurant, always full and queueing, so book in advance. They provide all kinds of paella, including common seafood or inkfish versions. I would recommend paella valenciana, the earliest and most traditional Valencia taste. This and the vegetarian paella are the 2 dishes that need to book at least 1 day in advance.

Had the opportunity to enjoy a dinner in this place when visiting my family in Valencia. My sisters had already visited the place a number of times and wanted me to enjoy the experience. We had dinner on a Saturday and only choice was a set menu amongst three (the menu only indicates number of steps or dishes). We chose the intermediate one. I always like the fact of not knowing what is going to come for dinner and the surprise factor. During the week you can have dinner "a la carte". We were given a table in the downstairs area, next to the wine cave that you can see through a glass wall. The area was really nice and quiet, perfect for enjoying the dinner and the company. The menu was a real experience. I could not choose which of the dishes I enjoyed most. Good wine recommendation from the staff and the chef /owner came to the table when we finished dinner and I had the opportunity to congratulate her. Magnificent food/ decoration/ crockery and ambiance. I hope to revisit soon!Price was very reasonable for what we had and there is an opportunity during the week to have lunch in the high tables next to the kitchen at very reasonable prices. EXCELLENT

Restaurant with modern and delicious dishes with eggs and many more!
We went here on the strength of the TA reviews and were not disappointed. The food is Tapas style but was on another level to any other Tapas we had during our stay. We shared 3 tapas dishes and a dessert and a great bottle of wine and it came to 50 Euro. Well done guys
