We visited this exciting Osteria for Sunday lunch and it was an incredible surprise. The setting is fairly rustic with lunch served on the veranda of an old farm building. The establishment only accommodates 4 tables per seating ensuring attentive service and food to die for! The starter was the best I've ever eaten! Zucchini flowers stuffed with parmesan mousse and a pepperoni jus - this is Italy on a plate! Simply sublime.

We were received very friendly and enjoyed an attentive service. A lot of informations about the vine and dishes without being too much. We enjoyed the big degustation menu with fish and seafood. All courses were wonderfully arranged, fresh ingredients and nicely composed aromas. The accompanying wines went very well with the courses and are offered for 10⬠plus on the price on the menu. The restaurant is decorated with a mix of a few antiquities and modern furniture. The grey peint, stone of the original walls and wooden roof give the room an elegant and warm touch. We highly recommend this restaurant for a special evening to enjoy high class Italian cuisine for a reasonable price (sure it is not cheap). I hope this young team will gain more and more guests what they deserve.

New modern restaurant with traditional local accent. A wonderful view, perfect service and serving dishes. Magnificent tar-tar! As I noticed the restaurant is based on meat. A special place for beer, is a new taste a floral taste!I recommend everyone who wants to have a great delicious dinner with a beautiful view!

The restaurant has very good location and the interior is lovely. Their food is really tasty- probably the best pizza nearby and wide selection of fishes. Other big positive is the friendly and helpful staff. We ate there many times and will definitely come back again.

Probably the best in town. We have been here two years ago, food and service are still excellent. Typical Italian place the waitress doesn't even speak English, nice and authentic.

We turned up on Saturday night without reservation and were immediately offered a table outside. Pleasant enough building. Menu seemed limited but was flexible, We opted for Gnocchi starters and we could choose which sauce. My wife went for melon and ham which was excellent. We all enjoyed our main course. I enjoyed my desert ( Tiramisu?) We had a jug of sparkling house white wine which was reasonable quality. The young lady who served us was lovely and persevered with our version of Italian and was very helpful. The staff here were all very good and made us most welcome. We would definitely make a return visit.. .

A Pizzeria Restaurant in an ancient Roman capital city! Aquileia, an important Roman city of antiquity, retains its historical and architectural beauty, and every year it hosts more than two million tourists, who, in addition to its long history, apprecia
Day trip to Aquileia and went to this place as top of Tripadvisor list. The decor is average so were a bit skeptical when we sat down. Got a very warm welcome from the owner, then it's all wow from there. He is clearly very passionate about the food of his restaurant: we had a delicious spaghetti vongole and a grilled sea bream that is really fresh and done just right, the owner proudly explained the seafood was caught just this morning. As we hopped out, he was talking to other customers on the other side of the restaurant so we thought we won't interrupt him, but as we were walking to our car, we caught him standing at the door waiving a warm goodbye. Very good value too. Go there, you'll love it!Thank you very much dear customer. We are very proud to receive your positive review. We wish you all the best and we hope to be as delicious as our spaghetti. You are always welcome and we hope to meet you again in future.Best regards

We went for lunch and experienced perfect Italian food. We had two Pizzas that were prepared in the traditional Neapolitan way. The pasta dishes on the tables next to us looked spectacular, too. Portions are more than generous and prices reasonable.More importantly, it tasted really good! Service was friendly and quick. Great place!

The restaurant is closed from 15 July to 15 August
I had lunch at this place with a group of about 30 people. When I entered the place I immediately felt it had substance: there was great care for the details in a newly renovated building which according to the owners is one of the oldest houses in Staranzano. The food belongs to the local tradition and was actually very good. We had some samples of cheese, ham etc as appetizer (the cheese with chilli peppers was awesome). We then had a double first course with gnocchi with goulash and crespelle with some local filling... excellent! There was no second course in the menu we chose, which was appropriate because the sizes are quite generous. We, however, had a dessert... the tiramisu I got was good, but it seems the nuts pie was really awesome (judging from the comments my friends made). I didn't rave for the white wine (chardonnay, I think) which was served, but it could well have been a personal taste. I didn't try the red wine. In any case, plastic bottles for the wine aren't that nice and don't put the drinker in the right mindset, I would recommend glass ones...Service was nice, informal and attentive (they even gave us a small gift). My girlfriend must eat gluten free and they arranged a custom menu for her with no problem. One of us was vegetarian and his custom menu seemed also very interesting.Pricing, at just ⬠18 for all what we ate, was great!! I would definitely recommend this place.Probably because we were a large group, we were seated in a room which isn't the usual dining room, but was nice as well. I looked around a bit and found the "real" dining room and I found it to be quite nice... I hope to come back to this place one evening, it should be quite atmospheric.Dear lordartha, thanks so much for your comment, we are very glad of it. After all these kind words I can only answer to your observation about our wine. I'm totally agree with you: visually I prefer the glass bottle too. But at the end we are simple farm peaple and we prefer the substance to the appearance so I hope you enjoyed our wine in "plastic bottle" as well. Thanks, see you soon!
