Moncalieri (Italian: [moŋkaˈljɛːri]; Piemontese: Moncalé) is a town and comune of 57,530 inhabitants (1-1-2017) about 8 kilometres (5 mi) directly south of downtown Turin (to whose Metropolitan City it belongs), in Piedmont, Italy. It is notable for its castle, built in the 12th century and enlarged in the 15th century, which later became the favorite residence of Maria Clotilde and Victor Emmanuel II of Italy. It is part of the World Heritage Site Residences of the Royal House of Savoy.

Very cozy place with simple but functional interior. Tried two types of "sandwiches" (sorry for not remembering the appropriate italian name :O). Both were freshly made and very delicious! Also, Luca was a very friendly host.Don't forget to try the sweets! I can say chocholate and crema are very awesome!!!

If you loved the Spanish tapas you would enjoy this place. 100 different types of mini sandwiches from 1 Euro to 2.5 Euro each, with Spanish ingredients (chorizo, tortilla, salsa brava, etc) . Wine, beers and vino tinto verano (almost a sangria but a bit strong in alcohol) are available to drink.Every Wednesday all the menu is for 1 Euro, so go there early and grab some!Surely a younger place, but I would recommend it to families.

You would say that an hamburger is JUST an hamburger? This is true in your neighborhood maybe, not here. You can try 20+ (do not remember by heart) amazing, tasy and different gourmet-hamburgere here. 100% fresh and top quality ingredients, one kind of hamburger that change every week with receipt you never thought (strawberry, caramelized onions, 'nduia, chees-ham-wrapped... Add to this home-made beers coming from Piedmont, a slap of fries just fried... Add to this the warm welcome that the owner couple reserve to all customer and you will feel you at home. But you will eat better than back your home. Try to deny me. congrats.

Cena con la mia bambina. Seguendo i "consigli" su TripAdvisor decido di provare questo locale abbastanza vicino a casa. Locale piccolo ma carino e pulito con cucina a vista. Proprietari gentili, disponibili e attenti. Ingredienti freschi, tagliati al momento e di buona qualità . Crespelle e piadine fatte da loro. Buona varietà di scelta. Risultato ammirevole. Prezzo corretto. Torneremo sicuramente.
