No frills, no fuss, just good quality regional food. We had a cheese board and meat platter (including bread it was dinner for two) plus a couple of bottles of red wine which can be selected to drink at the table or take away for the same price. Other dishes were prepared while we there there and it looked and smelt very good. Friendly athmosphere, no pretention and very relaxed - well worth a return visit.

Setting had no warmth. Stark with very bright lighting. Found food rather bland. Tasting menu uneventful. Staff pleasant. Wine choices did not pair

We went here on our last night in Turin. I love authentic cooking, but sometimes feel like eating something special. Based on the reviews here I was expecting a fine dining experience, but was sorely disappointed. The first problem was the extremely hot temperature in the locale- it was utterly unbearable, and the server had my sympathy in her black suit. We were seated right by the wine fridges. The free welcome glass of Prosecco (well, half glass if we're honest;-)) was a nice kick-off, as were the lovely hors d'ouvre shaped like dessert pastries. The Aubergine mousse in saffron sauce (I think it was meant to be foam) amuse bouche was not pretty but delicious. Then: I had the sturgeon starter, and this was just average. The fish was over-cooked and not standout in any way, and the pea sauce was just ok. There just wasn't much flavour to be found in any of it! The accompanying homemade breads were a treat, but I didn't want to ruin my appetite so just tried one. I then had the pork filet, which was unfortunately dry. I liked the flavour of the coffee bean crust. Eaten together with the pea mash and the bits of sauce dotted on the plate it was hard to choke down however, and I didn't finish it. The other main was a veal 'steak' but was really just a piece of veal, of an unidentifiable cut, and although still slightly pinkish waaaay too chewy. The accompanying forest berry sauce was not delicate or nuanced enough and tasted rather like jam. We ended the meal there as we couldn't stand the heat any longer. The service was good as long as we were one of the first 2 parties seated, but then rapidly disintegrated into barely basics. I refilled our water glasses myself, and had she come to ask about our experience after we'd started our mains we both would've complained about the meat. She didn't enquire about our satisfaction after the meal either, but we were so anxious to leave the stifling atmosphere that we paid and left.Had the restaurant climate been bearable we would've gone for the tasting menus, but considering the stifling heat those weren't an option for us. On the previous days we had been randomly having lunch and supper where we felt like, and gotten lucky each and every time. It really wasn't worth booking Piccolo Lord in advance, and all in all I wouldn't recommend it to those looking for a exquisite dining experience or return here on a next visit.

My husband and I just went here and had such a lovely experience! The man behind the counter was so friendly and explained the entire menu to us and even brought our food over even though I think we were supposed to go up and get it :) There are USB ports to charge your devices and even a bunch of cables you can borrow. We went just after 7pm and there was only one other person there so our service was really quick. And obviously the pasta was delicious! Very much recommend for a quick meal :)

The burgers there are really good. It is quite big and good quality meat which is always appreciable. I think they have some vegetarian options, always welcolmed for people who don't eat meat. Even though the food arrived quickly after we arrived the service is not that great as 5 minutes after being placed the waiters told us they gave us a booked table and that we have 15minutes to eat... Not very proffesionel but we stayed there for an hour anyway. The prices are a bit high but it worth it as it's some good uality ingredients.

Just about everything was to like about this restaurant. Friendly service, a refreshing aperitivo, and some really unusual dishes. The Guviol egg was amazing (with the truffle shavings) and the blackfish ravioli was divine. Really happy to have found this place on Trip Advisor. I also found the prices more than reasonable, particular given the effort put into the dishes.

Minimalist elegant interior, friendly service, wonderful dishes with brilliant presentations.Try the "traditional menu" or select from the menu. The choice is kind of limited, but each dish is special, well presented.I have advised the chef to increased a tad the salt, but I am sure many would not agree with me.I will go back soon.Grazie per averci scelto e per averci recensito signor Felipe. Ogni critica per noi è importante perché il risultato finale lo stabilisce sempre il cliente. Speriamo di poterla riavere come ospite. Saluti da tutto lo staff

We had a wonderful and romantic evening at this little hidden gem in Chieri, Piemonte. We were really surprised of the creativity and talent of the very young chef in the kitchen who made us both fully enjoy and laugh of his surprises from the kitchen! As important as the food was the absolutely marvelous service - we never experienced such a fantastic and responsive waiter before! A huge thank you to you both! Please visit Geranio - itâs really something special!

We were driving out of the craziness of Torino when we stopped by this restaurant. We had no expectations and were amazed by the service and food. The menu was quite rich in flavors and the service just perfect. Anything we wanted was possible to accommodate. They surprised us with kindness and good food so I can only keep good souvenirs of this place.

You will not bet a cent judjing this restaurant from the outside located in the "middle of nowhere".If you are looking for a refined and sophisticated cuisine, La Valle is the right place. You will taste traditional plates totally rewieved in their flavour and above all on their presentation.A couple of things to be prepared:1) It's very expensive. The price can be also very high due to the wine you chose as the offer in terms of variety is terrific2) Better in couple than group; I tried both and the service is significantly different especially in group; since you have to wait until anyone is served before starting, the food is most of the time not so properly warm as it should be3) Don't ask for caffeine free coffee...I've been told two times "Sorry, we went run of it"
