Perfect place for an abundant, inexpensive, relaxing, friendly and taste-tickling degustation! Usually open Friday through Sunday through certain periods of the year, so perhaps better to call beforehand. For those unsure what to expect from an Osmiza in general and this one in particular, you basically come when you come - booking beforehand is possible though not usually necessary - and order either Teran (red wine), Tokai or Malvasia (whites), then there's a list of say 3 or 4 types of cold cuts - here you also get chunky, super fatty bacon, which is, I swear, something that will take you back to the first time you ate bacon, its that delicious; then there's the cheese, which they make, usually fresh/soft plus mature with intense flavour here. Sidonj is probably my favourite Osmiza on Carso so don't expect all of them to be this good!

worth going if you like the typical local food. Good variety of food and wine, always fresh and not too havy. Service is quick but could improve a bit(some more smiles might help). During the nice season there is a nice terrace and not to forget it's easy parking.Recomend it

This small but very cosy restaurant proposes very good home made pasta specialities but also other dishes. Following the recommendation of the very nice service lady we took pastas of the day and a special mixed started plate. All was really excellent food and nicely decorated on the plate. The red house wine that she recommended was also very nice! A restaurant to go back again!

We were tgere for the anniversary dinner. It was our first visit . The restaurant offers outdoor tables and a traditional interiors dining room (very clean). There is a wide selection of tasting menu (they looked very tasty and complete!) We choose squids-sea scallops starters/sea fruit rice as a first course /seabass-turbots as second course. Everything was very good but we want to highlight that the rice was simply great (the sea fruits were mixed and not visible in pieces) and the turbots were three nice fishes deliciously cooked on the hotplate. Quality/price extremely good.Smiling service staff. Enjoy!

This small restaurant was recommended by a friend who lives in Malchina, and I am glad I took the advice. I've eaten here twice, on 2 separate visits to the Trieste area, and the food and the people have been fantastic. Lots of local specialities, both Italian and Slovene, since Malchina is very close to the border. The menu is different each day, representing the best and the freshest ingredients the owners can find. Leave room for dessert!

Ate here twice during our stay at Falisia , first time the service was a tad cool but warmed up as the evening progressed. Lobster linguine was superb, steamed sea bass was grilled but tasty and the prawns and tiramisu to die for. Second time we had an invasion of dogs in satchels (apparentky quite the norm for Italy) which we did not care for in a supposed 5 star restaurant. Great location , good to excellent food but the dog situation brought it's rating down to a 3

A thoroughly delightful meal was enjoyed by wife and I on the terrace of this establishment whilst staying at Portopicolo.Images on line belie the actual sophistication of this wonderful restaurant.Great value with charming service and an obliging on deck chef who remains enthusiastic to guide you on the menu ensure a memorable meal.My wife's spaghetti and scampi dish was not only amazingly generous in proportions to "wow" you on presentation but as she described unforgettably good.Bookings recommended and parking is a breeeze roadside at the front.
