La Terrazza is an outdoor livingroom with a gorgeous panoramic view on the historical centre of Asolo. The fine cuisine offers a selection of meat and fish plates, plus a special menu with vegetarian proposals, based on the classic local season food, and
Visited after walking up the hill to the castle. We couldn't go in as it was in restoration. Sat outside on the balcony. Lovely views. Staff were very attentive and came at the table often enough to make sure we have everything we wanted but not too often to make us uncomfortable. Good was just incredible. My husband had did and I had beef. Both cooked to perfection and the sides were really nice too. Acceptable price for dinks as well (we visited after going to Milan and Venice so the price and quality of the food compared to those places was exceptional). Hopefully will return in the area as I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again as I really enjoyed their take on sweet asparagus and the dessert that looked like a fried egg.

We stopped here for lunch while on the way to Bassano...great decision! We each had 2 items from the fixed lunch menu at â¬15.00 per person, which is really a bargain for a michelin star chef! I had the charcuterie antipasto (on a bed of fresh vegetables, lightly pickled) and the roast beef "salad" (thinly sliced, medium rare over an arugula with a warm medley of fresh chopped vegetables), while my wife opted for the soup with porchetta and the spaghetti with olio, pepper and drizzled with dry seafood roe (Bottarga or poor man's caviar) and a lemon zest. The portions were good size and made for a comfortable lunch. The presentations were neat and attractive, and the freshness of the ingredients was clearly evident. We left empty plates, delicious! The lunch included water, a glass of wine, the starter and main plates per person, coffee and service! We did have another glass of the Veneto rosso wine as it was very good. The atmosphere is minimalist, even outside, but very cozy. Freshness is a theme as our table outside was bordered by plantings of fresh rosemary and thyme. The plus was being able to view the kitchen staff doing their work through the windows! The total was â¬40.00 as we left an additional tip, absolutely outstanding.

Unless you're here to visit the nearby Villa Emo (we were), you're only likely to see a smattering of locals or passing businessmen in here. The menu is reassuringly short, offering a good choice for each course, including several fish dishes. Both diners went for the bigoli pasta (like bucatini, essentially) served in a silky creamy sauce with radicchio and speck. A more than adequate portion for a first course; tasty and well cooked. For the secondi we had the chicken medallions with porcini, again in a delicious light sauce. Side dishes of peperoni and grilled zuchini accompanied. For dessert we had the warm apple pie, not made in-house but a preferable pasticceria-made option to the industrially made profiteroles on offer, for instance. An easy-drinking local raboso, marca Trevignana, red was our wine choice. Fruity, slightly sparkling and not too dry or tanic (less than â¬10), with water then coffees to round off. All of this came to â¬43, which was then rounded down to â¬40.
