I had business lunch with clients here. Food is genuine, mainly produced by themselves (pasta, meat, vegetables, wine, etc.) Waiters are very kind and fast. Prices are very reasonable. As this restaurant is really in the country side, guests are there because of the high quality of food.

We spent some wonderful days with 12 adults and 5 children in the Ai Casoni. We were treated to culinary delights (vegetarians, gluten allergy sufferers and children were no problem for the kitchen), enjoyed the very clean facilities and benefited from the enchanting surroundings. Andrea and the whole team of Ai Casoni were always warm, attentive and wonderful hosts.Thank you very much - and I'm sure we will be back!

I think this little osteria by the river is one of the best kept secrets of the region and it's worth a try. Lovely wines are accompanied by little bites with interesting flavours using the best ingredients. Salami and cured meat is also accompanied by traditional horseradish relish, which is not so easy to find anymore. Don't be afraid of asking for the daily menu, the staff will surprise you with a long list of dishes to tempt even fussy eaters. But don't expect prices or menu on display in typical Italian fashion. Nothing comes cheap but they won't rip you off anyway so have a go!

It was my brother's special day and I decided to take him and his girlfriend here to spend the evening together. The whole experience was fantastic - from the food that we ordered to the beer that Simone skillfully suggested for us to try. Everything was more than what we expected!I'd like to commend the whole staff - especially Simone and Gianluca for the great service! We will surely come back soon! :)

The other evening was the third time I ate here. Twice before for lunch. While the lunches had been of good quality and a wide variety of plates available, I did not have that impression a few nights ago. The menu is not in written form, but was read to us. Common practice in a lot of restaurants around here. No problem! However, my husband and I arrived before our friends did. There was one other table close to us where 6 guests were seated. We were listening to the menu being read to them in order to already get an idea of what to order. About 15 minutes later, our friends had arrived and it was our turn to order. A lot less options than the other table. I guess they ran out of food already at 8 pm. I ordered ricotta and artichokes as an appetizer which was very nice. Also the pork was good. My husband had the 'guanciale' which was very tasty but nothing that would make us want to come back to this place. Altogether there was a total of 4 main dishes to choose from. Tripe, baccala', pork roast and the beef 'guanciale'. I would have liked to have had lamb chops that I had eaten there before, but they weren't available. Also no steaks! The fairly big restaurant was hardly heated. We sat next to the fireplace and still were cold. Only 3 tables occupied on a Sat night; maybe also an indication that price/ value is not the best. (At the 2 lunches I mentioned before, my friend and I were the only customers). I was also taken aback a bit by the fact, that the young waitress who served us prosecco at first, waited for us to finish the white wine and then poured red wine into the same glasses. Not up to standard for a place where you pay roughly 40 Euro pp. There are plenty of places in this area where one gets much better service for that kind of money.

Been going here for few years when in nearby town visiting. Every time is a wow experience, excellent fresh fish and perfect preparation; desserts to die for; professional, courteous, friendly service.. If not sure what to order, ask the host Sergio to build your tasting menu.. Enjoy!!

Stopped here for a quick lunch and was surprised by their fast working pace and immediacy with which they found a place for us even though the restaurant was packed. Our waitress gave us a few choices (it was late for lunch time), but everything was tasty and healthy. Restaurant is small and atmosphere is simple but overall warm and welcoming. Price was ridiculously cheap for the quality of food and politeness of service we received. Really sweet experience.

Located right in the center of beautiful Portobuffole, you like the ambience the second you approach the restaurant. We made a reservation for a Friday, we arrived and were immediately greeted with a warm welcome. The restaurant is cozy and I would highly recommend making a reservation for weekend nights. The menu was small, you could tell the food was made fresh as you ordered. The zuppa of the day was a potato soup with tartufo, very hardy and great for a cold night. We sampled both gnocchi dishes, one with zucca and one with cheese. I can't tell you which one was better, they were both amazing. The pasta with duck was also stellar. We all had steak with Himalayan salt, it was cooked to perfection and delicious. The highlight of the night was the fricco, which we hadn't initially ordered, but was recommended to us by friends who just happened to walk in. The freshest frico I've ever eaten, with spinach and tomato, and soft potatoes. Not greasy what-so-ever. The wine selection was also good, with a lot of choices, but not so many it made it difficult. The service was impeccable, ran by a husband and wife who both waited and cooked. They also had brought in a younger waitress to help with a large group, she too was very friendly and made the experience that much better. Upon leaving my wife showed interest in a book on a shelf about Portobuffole. The owner gave the book to my wife! We will definitely be returning.

My wife and myself have stopped in here twice for lunch. Both times the service, food, and atmosphere has been great. The place is always busy, but the wait staff is always helpful and polite. Lunch is typical Italian food, you can select your courses from whatever they have prepared that day. If the lasanga bolognese is available, I highly recommend it.Having said that, no dish we tried was bad.
