Small gourmet restaurant in the old city.
We are talking about a gourmet restaurant, fin dining and interesting meals. The staff is professional and friendly, the atmosphere cozy and soft. After some days spent in Val Di Fassa, El Cianton has been absolutely the best restaurant in this area.Unfortunately they're not flexible with the dinner timing: you can get in to have dinner between 8.30 and 9.30pm. More flexibility would mean the next step to grow.Thank you soo much Topissi. We are proud about a feedback like this!About the opening time: our restaurant open at 8.30pm because before we have to serve the hotel guests. We prefer to be "not flexible" in order to guarantee the best service we can. Thanks for being patient and understanding: hope that the good dinner is what matters and what to remember.Grazie mille!

We've just been to this restaurant in the center of Moena. The food was quite good but the service was disappointing. When we arrived there were only a few guests the place started to get busy after we placed our order. We were a company of 4. We ordered a soup, which I shared with my friend, and 4 pizzas. They brought the soup and 2 pizzas on time but we had to wait one hour to get the rest while everybody else was served in the restaurant. I suppose they forgot to place the rest of our order or they completely forgot about us ( maybe because we were only tourists ordering only pizzas). I got very disappointed because we wanted to enjoy our meal together and not to eat separately with an hour difference. The only thing they could do was to say sorry. I got very annoyed so I cancelled my order for a pizza. The owner was around and they didn't even try to do anything to make things right. They never thought of filling up our glasses with prosecco ( which is only 3 euros for a glass) or offering us a grappa. I have been to many places in the world and as I experienced the least is to offer a drink if not the dishes for gratis which we had to wait for. On top the waitress never brought the change just thanked when we paid. Ok it wasn't a big amount only 3 euros but I was determined not to tip them after I was left hungry. It's not my habit not to leave a tip but in this case I don't think they deserved anything.

Another excellent dinner at this temple of the Val di Fassa gastronomy. Some of the creations by Paolo Donei in my opinion stand comparison with those of more famous multistarred chefs. The signature dish egg in polenta crust with truffle, cream of cheese and spinach, for example, behind its apparent simplicity hides much preparation work, uses great produce, and it embraces you with a memorable subtlety of flavours and textures.A primo of spatzle with herbs, girolles and a speck infusion summarises what this cuisine is about: strong, traditional flavours elevated to delicacies of high refinement and elegance. Two mains, a venison and a duck, both had at their core a fantastic, chunky, tender and perfectly cooked piece of meat, with clever and tasty garnishes around them: the braised red chicory giving moisture to the duck, with almond and smoked oil flavours; and the Jerusalem artichokes (coming in different ways) with a Pinot nero reduction. My only small reservation is just a tendency to saltiness, but this is personal taste. You can't skip desserts at Malga panna: a parfait was just good, but a 'cappuccino ice cream' with liquorice and milk was fun, creative, beautiful, deliciously balanced, hovering between the bitterness of the liquorice and the sweetness of the rest. You get so much more during a meal here, amuse bouche, breads, pre-dessert and petit fours. The prices are very, very fair such abundance and quality. The wine lover will also find satisfaction, gently guided by the always informative maitre Michele and the rest of his team. And the setting...well, that is magical (a little upholstering of all the benches would make it even more comfortable).I only manage to visit the Malga once a year, but every time I'm looking forward to returning.

This was one of the only restaurants open in the area during the period we've visited. We enjoyed all the food we've ordered. Everything was in large portions. The big mixed salad was really very big and fresh. The pizza was very good. The beef fillet was great, large size and cooked according to everyones request. This restaurant is very recommended.

I visited this place twice- at the beginning of my stay and the last night. The first impression of the place was that it was overcroeded and this fact suggested good quality. The impression was changed by beef burger. It was tasteless and rather expensive. House wine could not improve the impression. The second time i ordered pork shin with polenta and sourcrout. I am sorry to say that it produced the same dull impression. So my conclusion says that this place is twice ower-owercrouded and owerpriced but under quality.

We had grilled fish, which was very well prepared and elegantly served. The waiter offered to carve the fish for us, which we did not need, but appreciated. The service was rapid, even a bit rushed. Perhaps they planned on seating other guests after us. The dessert, tiramisù with mille-feuille, was a grandiose conclusion.
