We had a business lunch at the restaurant which was a very good choice. A calm and nice restaurant. A minus for the interior decoration which was a little bit too old fashion. The food was very good, authentic Italian and very local. In the meny they even had written out the local dishes in Trento. I drank a glas of white wine which was delicious. And I was able to buy a bottle of the same wine at the restarant! That´s great service!

Situato nella splendida campagna della Valle dellâAdige, la Trattoria Biancospino offre specialità di carne e di pesce ma non mancano piatti della tradizione trentina ed italiana oltre che gustose pizze. A seconda delle stagione, viene proposto un menù ap
We are staying in a nearby hotel at the far edge of Trento. The hotel recommended Trattoria Biancospino. It is a great neighborhood gem. The food is wonderfully prepared, the local wine was excellent, our waiter spoke English which was very helpful for us non-Italian speaking Americans. My only criticism is that the portions were very large, so depending on your appetite, you might want to consider sharing. There were also many locals who were enjoying what looked like wonderful pizza. Oh and the prices were very reasonable. We strongly recommend this restaurant!Thank you for expressing your impressions and giving us this excellent score. It is a plesure to know that you enjoy your dinner. We are glad to read that you recomended our restaurant. Hoping to see you again very soon. We send you our best regards.

A large restaurant that seems to cater to the tour bus crowd. Service was a little hurried. Pizza standards are very high in Italy, so I am grading this on a higher scale. On the plus side, the Marinara pizza was fine, with oregano and sauce. It is supposed to come with no cheese. The pizza was thin and crispy and cooked in a high temperature oven, but maybe not for enough time? The margarita revealed something off with the cheese. Not fresh mozzarella perhaps. And there was no basil at all. The pizza's came out very fast. 4 Euro and change for the basic pizza's, up to 8 euro for more toppings. I would probably avoid this restaurant.

Super hosts serving authentic home cooked Italian food. Pasta was superb with a lovely ambience in the restaurant.

I was been living in Trento for 5 years, and I still go very often for personal reasons, hence I would say that I know the local restaurants quite a bit.So believe me when I say that this place is quite overrated on TripAdvisor. It ranks among the top restaurants in the region, but I do not understand on what grounds. Location-wise, it is good but not better than your average not-down-in-the-valley restaurant. Plus, it is not the most accessible of restaurants with similar view of the Adige valley. It is family run, as most mountain restaurants in Trento. The lady who attended our table was polite but not exactly friendly - which is very Trentinian, so it's fine. Service is also fine, but not memorable. You can say the same for the food: everything was good and genuine, but not better than any other hut-restaurant. Especially the "tortel", which based on the reviews that I read, was nothing special. It was good, but tortel is generally good, and I wouldn't say that it was better than the average tortel you can eat around Trento (though mind you, it's also possible to find bad ones). Let me also add that the available alternatives were especially limited, also for a mountain restaurant. In similar restaurants around Trento you can find same quality, same fresh products and (relatively) more choices. As a first course. we had a selection of first courses (canederli and gnocchi of 4 different types), which were good but served in very small amounts (meaning: one of a kind, for a total of four tiny items). One kind was especially good, though the other three were average if not below average. As a second course, we had the tortel with cold cuts and cheese. The serving of tortel was very generous, as were the cold cuts. The cheese could have been more. At the end of the meal we were quite full, but that is hardly a surprise when you eat tortel (potato + egg + flour = you get stuffed quite easily). If I remember correctly they only have bottled beer, which is quite of below what you would expect (but I am not 100% about it).

Our family went here on a recommendation for a birthday and wedding anniversary! What a great recommendation! Service was helpful and timely. A truly enjoyable meal with a proseccco before hand and grappa afterwards. Do visit this establishment- easy parking, lovely building and a great experience. Nice menu selection, nice terrace. The food was good but I was hoping to be blown away and I wasn't. Favorite was the gazpacho, tagliatelle, octopus starter and the peach sorbet/apple/rosemary dessert. Meat (beef) was cooked well but not that exciting; rabbit tagliatelle was good but I'm still not convinced it wasn't chicken. The waiter was a bit offended when I said it tasted like chicken, and explained that rabbit cooked in a certain way tastes like that, but I'm still not convinced that it wasn't chicken. Even if it was in fact rabbit, shouldn't it have been cooked in a way to make it taste a bit more special than chicken?!
