Four of us went to this cafe & everyone ordered but my salad was horrible - old, brown lettuce, tomatoes that had been cut hours earlier, shrivelled up sour green olives & rubbery mozzarella. The people seemed nice & I said please take this away as it's not fresh & that I didn't want anything else. A very nice young woman apologised & took the food then the owner came & asked if I wanted another salad - but fresh this time! I clearly said no & that we needed to leave soon. Next minute another salad arrived, barely different from the first & they insisted it stayed on the table. I didn't eat it as had completely gone off the idea but my friends each tried something from the 'fresh' salad & agreed it was disgusting. We got up to leave, went & paid & then realised we hadn't been given the receipt so went back & asked. To our astonishment the owner had charged the 5 euros for my inedible salad. I asked for it to be taken off the bill, gesturing to my grim plate of uneaten food & the owner flatly refused - saying he hadn't charged me for the first plate!!! What a horrible feeling after such a lovely stay in Sicily where, apart from this one experience, all the food was delicious.

After spending a couple of weeks in Sicily it was a refreshing change to visit somewhere that didn't serve seafood!!!The waiters were helpful and spoke good English and we all really enjoyed our food including our 2 children aged 3 and 5.It's a pub rather than a restaurant and serves lots of different beers. It was a little intimidating walking in with a group of men outside the doors but once in we felt more than comfortable. The only downside for me was that we didn't go here earlier in our holiday so we could have gone back!!!Thank you very much. Hope to meet you soon again here in Sicily for a chilled sicilian Beer :D

Absolutely worth trying the cassatelle (or cassateddi in Sicilian)! We stopped at this local treasure and stocked up while on a read-trip. Great pastry. The problem with these ricotta cream turnovers, which are ricotta-filled turnovers common in the eastern part of Sicily and specific to the town of Trapani, is that they are hard to resist and even harder to stop at only one. A lot of locals eating at this cafe which is always a good sign.

We had mixed experiences at this place. On the good site we hat a really delicious tuna panini. On the other hand we had some drinks with some tapas which were not really satisfying.

We both had mediocre meals here. My calamari was slightly overcooked and rubbery, although not terrible. My wife had unremarkable pasta that was supposed to come with prawns, although nothing seemed to be left of them other than their deceptively large, decorative heads. The mixed seafood starter was just OK. This place seems to trade on the views from its terrace, but there are really only three tables with views, and youâd have to reserve in advance to get one of them. On the whole, this was a disappointing experience. Youâd be much, much better offâboth in terms of food quality and viewsâat La Cioloma.
