Was recommended this place by our host when we arrived on Trapani. We tried to find this place in the old centre the first night we arrived to no avail and ended up at the place next door which in retrospect was a better choice. The service when we walked in was very prompt as it was quiet. I preface all the below by qualifying that our Italian is limited but we have not had this experience any where else and the table of locals next to us were also not happy with their meal. The food portions were generally quite healthy as were the drinks. We ordered glasses of wine that were at least 350 ml each. That being said we were not happy with our experience as the food was disappointing. First we ordered acqua naturale and out came water with gas. We then ordered the octopus appetiser to share and ended up getting a double portion, which was fine but again not what we ordered. The sauce on the octopus mussels and clams was quite nice however the octopus was very rubbery compared to other octopus I have enjoyed in the past as it was slightly under cooked. My wife then ordered fish fillet with raddicchio and red wine. The red wine and raddicchio was overly bitter and not well balanced with a light white fish. My wife did not enjoy this at all and to resolve they brought out fried calamari on the house which was appreciated. I ordered the squid skewer with red scarlet shrimp. When my order came out it was only shrimp with no squid. I asked the waiter why it did not come with squid and he brushed it off. When the bill came they tried to charge me just for the red shrimp which they tried to explain to me to resolve, however it was clearly not I ordered as they tried to show us a menu we never saw.?! Overall we were quite disappointed by the experience and would not go back with so many other choices for great food.

Tiny restaurant, 36 seats, very well hidden in a alley 2 blocks of the harbor (ferry).Honest, fresh Sicilian food, moderately priced with a good choice in moderately priced wines. Very animated wait staff and personable owner/chef Marco. We had the antipasto followed by 2 different pasta's. All very good !

We uncharacteristically played it safe and ordered spag vongole, grilled gamberoni and squid then we seen the spicy mussels, fish carpaccio and other heavenly plates so we returned, lovely! Great staff too.

This restaurant Is truly tiny. One chef(?) and one waiter running around frantically. We ordered involtino sarde to start (our first one-light and very tasty filling!), pasta can spada and one last busiate pesto trapanese. I preferred the pasta con spada, I thought the flavoring was a bit more bold which i liked. The prices are extremely fair with almost everything under 10e. Book at least a day in advance! Aside from one large party of Aussies, we were the only non-Italians. A very good sign, I think.

Wine bar with an open kitchen and raw food, for wine lovers to lovers of slow food.
Versi di Rosso is a more than a winery. Not only they have a good selection of wines but they do also serve excellent food. It is perfect if you want to eat something for dinner avoiding normal restaurant. Their plates are surprisingly good!Location is in the city center very close to the cathedral. They have inside table and terrace. Their selection is fantastic especially of local wines. In fact you can try different local grapes and wineries. Explore natural wines (Orange), or get lost into Marco or Dario suggestions according to your taste! They will know how to guide you. It will be a pleasure to chat with them!

Dinner was great. Found this from a quick google search and then to trip advisor. All of the staff was extremely nice and helpful, even tho they didnât speak fluent English. Food tasted amazing and authentic. I recommend getting the gastro plate. It was basically 7 small items that you can share between 2 people. I might go back for lunch to get a cold cut sandwich
