Reviews on European food in Toledo, Province of Toledo, Spain. Synagogues, mosques and churches stand together in Toledo's historic quarter, a testament to the medieval Spanish city's diverse history. The four towers of The Alcazar, a fortress built in 1085, dominate the skyline. Toledo and its surrounding countryside inspired El Greco, and his paintings are on display in many places around the city, including the museum that bears his name.

We have a restaurant with history, a house of the 15th century where it lived Lope de Vega. Now we have a conditioned for our customer and enjoy. We are located in the center of the old town within 1 minute of the Plaza de Zocodover
Came here because of such good reviews. Arrived at about 9pm and was seated and ordered food promptly. Starters were ok. There was a language barrier mix up with the main ordering, my partner ordered the Solomillo and pointed but I think the waiter was looking at the wrong thing when he pointed and received Swordfish instead. He did receive the pork in the end but he said it was average. I had bacalao with ratatouille which was quite nice. Generally, the food was ok but just not as great as the reviews make it appear to be. Also we sat inside and the smoke wafting from the upstairs tables made me feel a bit ill whilst eating but I guess thatâs what you get on the continent!

At 'Tobiko Restaurante' we got our own style. Our fusion/creative cuisine is an experience for the senses for a reasonable price. Our team work hard everyday to bring the innovation to our plates so every time that you come back you will find a new range
We went for the tasting meal here based on TripAdvisor reviews. The staff was great, and the place has a nice vibe to it. The tasting meal started out fantastic too -- different, interesting and tasty dishes. Unfortunately the courses stalled out about 1/2 through -- strange combos, tasted over salted and didn't pair well with the wines. Two dessert courses were a little over the top. I think they are on the right path, however, and hope they continue to innovate!

The owner is super friendly, serves by his own and speaks English. Youâll find there delicious Spanish cuisine and traditional atmosphere. Highly recommended

Off the main paths, offers tasty local stew called Carcamusa Toledo, artfully presented stuffed peppers with sweet red sauce called Piquillos Toro, and plenty of cold beverages with speedy friendly service (and air conditioning on very hot summer afternoon!) Owner makes his own line of bottled craft beer â had his Virtudes Negra, an oak barrel aged porter with hint of bourbon. On tap has two regional brews â had Aguila Sin Filtra from Madrid, an excellent lager with a bit of toasted malt flavor, and a blended wine drink called Tinto Verano which was fruity and refreshing.

Lo Nuestro Toledo is a TaperÃa Restaurante located in the heart of the jewish quarter, where you can taste the best and most traditional plates from the area and if you want more do not stop visiting our online store and brought you to your house!!
The service was the best part about this restaurant. The chef is a super sweet man who greeted us at the door and offered us house wine and a welcoming smile. This was what we needed after we were actively ignored by a waitress at a restaurant by the Greco Museum. He saved our experience of what is like to eat in Toledo. He said many people come from all over the world to eat a delicious meal and he wants them to feel at home. Here is the chef posing for photos for an upcoming burger competition sponsored by the local beer company.

Went in after a visiting the cathedral for lunch as it's close by. Superb choice. Interesting and tasty food, good wine and all at a reasonable price. The waiter was excellent as were all the staff. Get your camera ready if you order a certain item on the menu and they bring over a cocktail shaker....

We had several different tapas with wine and enjoyed all. Service was excellent, and it was a very nice lunch just below the walls of the old city

Do not miss this! If you like creative and delicious food! - If you enjoy food that is delicious, creative, and surprising, with excellent service and noise at a level that encourages conversation, find a way to eat here!It was amazing, and on a Tuesday in October we were able to get a lunch table on short notice. I rarely eat at places with a Michelin star, but did eat at several some years ago. We did eat at a vaunted Chicago establishment with a 17 course fixed menu a couple yeasts ago - it was fascinating and a technical tour de force, but I felt afterwards that I had no need to repeat that. I would go back here in a heartbeat. I wonât list all the dishes in out 70 euro degustation menu (thereâs a market menu for ~30 euro, a classic menu for 50 euro, and a âmemoriesâ menu for 100 euro). The 5 paired glasses of wine (refilled as needed), added 28 euro for each of us. Was it an expensive lunch at 200⬠for the two of us? Yes. Would this cost two to four times as much in other cities? YES. Give them the 2 to 2 1/2 hours to amaze and delight you with one of the more ambitious menus. The ham croquette had a lovely crunch around a wonderful ham and viscous liquid cheese core. The cod brandade was not one I was really that excited about until it came - very delicate fluffed cod purée with several small very light meringues on top. Amazing. The garlic soup came as what looked like a chestnut dusted with something. We were told to eat it in one bite, as there was soup in a thin crust. Over and over, the food was wonderful to look at, but most importantly tasted great! Weâre weâre both comfortably full at the end, not stuffed. Easily the best and most extraordinary meal of our 4 week trip through Spain and Portugal. Go there. We hope to get back. Oh, it is a 10 minute (7â¬) cab ride from the old part of Toledo, does lunch most days and dinner only on the weekends (and Thursday?).

La Mar Salah Toledo is a small but beautiful restaurant, located near the famous Door Hinge Toledo, next to the courthouse. Specializing in fish and wild premium seafood restaurant. We are aware that after a good kitchen should have the best raw materials
The decoration of this restaurant is grey and cold, and so is the atmosphere, service and food. The management seems more interested in number of plates served, than in satisfied guests that want to come back.Rather medium quality main courses, but some good deserts.

The whole experience was amazing!!! The waiter was very professional and provided excellent service. The menu was thought out and well developed. Interesting tastes, textures and amazing presentations. Loved the variety of china used for each course. Come hungry and allow plenty of time to enjoy eight or more courses.
