Last night we celebrated the bachelorette party! We ordered antipasti misti, we tasted 3 different kind of pasta: tortelli with asparagus cream and truffle, pappardelle al cinghiale and pici alla ciccio. Then: cinghiale, agnello fritto and alla scottadito. Of course, we tried fried artichokes too, unbelievably great. To conclude, the desserts. I can suggest you only one thing: go for the croccantino. Please try all 3 versions. Are you into liquors after coffee? Please try the amato and liquor of grappa. The friendly atmosphere and the host (Ciccio) and his wife (the chef) increase the level of your experience in this place.Excellent! Absolutely recommended!

Delicious food at IL BORGO. We had the Agnello a Scottadito and the Cighiale a Bujone as main courses. Both were very tasteful, with the Syrah wine a perfect combination.Friendly staff who explained part of the menu. And very affordable prices.

Upon arriving in Orvieto I was told by an American quartet that the place in town to get the best Spaghetti Carbonara was down the street. Now this is information that I did not request; so I reasoned that they must have just enjoyed a surreal dish. But having arrived late, my buddy largely responsible for the missed train, this restaurant as well as all the other restaurants in town were closed, I had to settle for a cabdy bar and can of coke...cookies for dessert. Now...After reading reviews it became clear what restaurant theyâre were talking about and I made a reservation. It was quaint with red checkered table cloths reminiscent of the 1950âs American version of an Italian restaurant. Our 2 waiters were very attentive to your every need. My buddy and I ordered the carbonara without an appetizer because of the sheer size of the plate. The pancetta was beautifully sautéed on top and was plentiful throughout the dish. The pasta was mixed beautifully with the egg mixture and made for a very satisfying Spaghetti Carbonara. The house wine was just fine, as with most Italian restaurants; but the other selections were reasonable as well. For dessert I opted for the panna cotta accompanied by a double espresso. My buddy...too full. A perfect ending to a classic dish!

In an area god blessed for the quality of food and wines but unfortunately packed with mediocre restaurants which serve allegedly local cuisine but serve in reality just boring dishes often badly prepared, Sâosteria is a happy exception. The environment is pleasant, the staff kind and competent but, most important, the dishes are high quality. They are a fusion of local tradition and innovative attempts to go beyond a tired repetition of some receipts. I had an excellent tartare and baccalà in a green salad accompanied by a very good local red wine. Go and visit the place!
