Stopped entirely by chance as we were starving but so glad we did. The pizzas are fab, tasty toppings and excellent value.

A small agriturismo that serves unbeatable regional Umbrian food.
We have visited this restaurant twice, and can only express positive experiences. On each occasion, the food was fresh and regional, reflecting what was in season. The antipasti plates to begin were already groaning with small portions of cold food which was then augmented by further warm dishes. There were Potatoes that were so delicious and delicate that one could think that they were mushrooms; Proscuitto and Salame to have with melon, brushetta with tomato and brushetta with truffles; crisped pancetta on crotstini; omlette and grilled capsicum and zuchinni. A fresh rocket and strawberry salad refreshed the palate before two pasta courses, and two roasted meat courses with further salad, desert and coffee to follow. We were obviously not the only ones to enjoy the experience; all the tables were crowded with families and groups enjoying themselves, children being entertained and integral to the experience and lunch going well into the afternoon. Even my husband, an athlete with a monumental appetite and after a long cycle in the morning, was unable to eat all of the great food on offer.Highly recommended - yes, maybe a little hard to find, but one can follow the signs and expect good service and great food.

We had dinner at Ulisseâs trattoria yesterday night. We were visiting our sister who has a holiday home in Acquasparta. We had the tagliere of salumi with Ulisseâs crafted products. This came accompanied by two great pecorinos and focaccia bread. The Sangiovese he proposed was an excellent pairing. We then tried his coratella made with his own secret recipe. It was superb. The best I ever had. The local Amaro was a great way to end the dinner. I loved that Ulisse and his nephew presented all the dishes with great details on the preparation and origin. We learnt a bit more from Ulisse about his great products and the process of making salamis. My favorites were the spalla di maiale, coppa e mortadella. The coratella was top! Thanks Ulisse!

My experience at Il Vecchio Mulino was simply amazing. This spendid agriturismo is located in the beautiful Umbrian countryside where you can enjoy homemade and regional food while tasting local wine and not only. The customer service is impeccable and it really makes your Italian experience unforgettable. I recommend it to anyone who really wants to experience true Italy. It's perfect for couples, friends or even groups.

We were fortunate enough to have a meal in this tiny restaurant just after it opened for business. The small menu seemed carefully crafted to showcase the best of local Umbrian produce and itâs cuisine. Despite the limited menu, the choice was difficult; we finally settled on an antipasto selection of local meats and cheeses and a dish of saffron gnocchi with a truffle sauce. The seemingly simple collection of hand cured prosciutto, salami and cheeses on a wooden board demanded to be lingered over and savoured, so unlike the selection in many other venues. The gnocchi was sublime. The owner, a delightful young woman, Chiara, handled the front of house with charm and competence - as a bonus we discovered that she was a qualified sommelier and her knowledge and advice was a great asset when choosing a (local, once again) wine to complement the meal from her interesting and varied cellar. Further dishes of a thin tagliatelle with a light Ragù and pork belly with potatoes were complemented with an un exciting looking salad of orange fennel and radicchio, which belying its appearance, tasted amazing. Despite being replete, we couldnât resist squeezing in a local liquore made from wild sour cherries accompanied by an amazing torte and bitter chocolate. It was a great meal, and we will be going back when we can.

The restaurantâs location, in the very atmospheric village square, promises so much ... but in our experience at least, from a culinary point of view delivered a very inferior experience. My âsimpleâ Bruschetta was little more than a piece of soggy toast ... my partnersâ starter of cheese with honey and walnuts was slices of rather tasteless processed cheese roughly cut into triangles and drizzled haphazardly with honey. The so called specialty pizza was heavy and indigestible with a filling of unappetizing slices of greasy sausage (Iâm afraid we fed most of it to the dog) ... and my polenta with wild boar sauce was light on boar ... and heavy on an oily tomato sauce. The service was at best perfunctory and the fight to get the bill without having to go inside to chivvy things up unnecessary and annoying, an experience the table next to ours found equally trying . I note the restaurant owners gives pretty ârobustâ responses to people who complain on here ... as someone who lives in the area and with a love of good local food ... my suggestion would be they take the criticism a little more seriously as when stacked up against so many restaurants in the area, our experience, at least in my view, fell well short of what is acceptable.

Ristorante Lounge Cafe right in the center of the ancient village. Private garden with bbq. Open all year. Closed on Monday
This was our first visit to this new restaurant but certainly not our last. It is a beautiful setting - medieval town, old walls, easy parking - we were sitting in the garden under an umbrella of vines. The staff are attentive but not intrusive and the food is beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. Prices were very reasonable and there was a good wine list. Very highly recommended.

The restaurant is situated at a dream-location, overlooking the Umbrian hills. The food was every thing you could wish for. Excellent pasta and a fish antipasto consisting of thirteen different types of fish. We really had a blast also because of very friendly Italian waiter who patiently dealt with us and other non Italian speaking guests. An experience one should not miss when visiting the south of Umbria.

Coffee and restaurant located at the city entrance and in front of the majestic temple of the Consolazione. Breakfast, appetizer, cocktails, long drinks, music... every day. In summer, in the open-air restaurant, we serves traditional Umbrian dishes and p
Looking for a Tripadvisor tip we ran into this place by accident. But what a pleasant mistake we've made! Fantastic Umbrian cuisine, eggs with asparages, fried zucchini flower and delicious crostone for starters. This is followed up with thin crusted pizza's with fresh ingredients and off course tartufo!Nice Umbrian food for a very moderate price! If not convinced, the place is crowded with Italians!
