This is the third review I am writing for this restaurant over three years, it's the first time I've been since September 2013.I love the atmosphere. It's a little formal but not at all stuffy, you really feel like you are having a full dining experience. We (two of us) dined and arrived at 20.15, left at 22.25. We had just antipasti and a main but the pace of the service meant that it was a leisurely affair, and the service was spot on, not intrusive or overly officious. The head waiter has been there for all three years and I believe the kitchen is the same team, or at least led by the same head chef. Great retention so must be a good place to work too.We had the classic hot antipasti....a plate of smoked salmon, langoustine and shrimp with calamari salad. Next a delicately cooked little flat fish. Followed by a delicious bean and squid broth...difficult to describe but I'll be trying to replicate it. Then classic grilled calamari along with some prawns and polenta. Think I've forgotten one...can't remember.We then shared a baked John Dorey cooked with thinly sliced potatoes, olives and tomatoes....perfectly cooked and a good portion size.We had two bottles of water, the waitress chose a bottle of pecorino for us and two coffees and for 74 Euros...or 37 Euros a head.Still great and I'll be making it my regular.

This is a wonderful little secret with sensational food. We came here because of the reviews on trip advisor and we weren't disappointed. The pasta was homemade and wonderful. I could see the wife through the kitchen window....rolling the pasta and making it right there. The place was packed with locals. I would definitely recommend splitting a pasta between two people as the servicing as huge. In many occasions large portions do not equal great food but in this case...this restaurant equals exceptional food and large portions. The pricing is amazing and you can tell that tourists have not found this little treasure yet. Make sure you reserve a space. It opens at 8pm until late. Ricotta on the pasta is stunning. The owner was so warm and tried hard to make us feel very welcome....you would have to go a long way to find a better little trattoria

We've only visited once since it re-opened but will do so again very soon. The service as always is excellent and with the same core team front and back of house there is no way to fail. I really do wish these guys the very best of luck in their new venture and will be contributing to their success. There are many good pizzerias in Teramo, serving good pizzas so you have to chose based on what you want. Here the Pizza (generally wet), service (always excellent) and hospitality (always outstanding) are truly Neapolitan. Looking forward to returning.

In tutta sincerità non è un locale che sceglieremmo per una cena particolare. Eâ abbastanza dispersivo e non concede una minima intimità â¦â¦.e poi quel megaschermo. Va bene che câera la partita Roma-Barcellona ed evidentemente ai loro clienti abituali interessa quello, maâ¦â¦. Noi ci abbiano cenato per comodità , perché ospiti dellâalbergo inserito nella stessa struttura e della medesima proprietà . Dopo aver descritto le negatività dobbiamo aggiungere che abbiamo mangiato più che dignitosamente: 2 corposi hamburger di chianina accompagnati da abbondante contorno ed annaffiati da discreta birra artigianale. Stavamo per assegnare 3 stelle, ma poi ci siamo ricordati della giovanissima e carinissima cameriera (Micaela?) che forse perché somigliante a nostra figlia, ci ha fatto tenerezza ed allora la quarta stella è tutta merito suo.Anche se dobbiamo aggiungere che la cortesia è prerogativa dell'intera famiglia che gestisce albergo e ristorante.

We were invited for lunch by business partners to this nice restaurant. Our business partners ordered everything so we had 5 different starters and a primi and secondi, awesome local red wine and coffee to round off the meal. Pasta with truffels and their small grilled meat skewers were particularly nice! Friendly service. Highly recommended.

We could not imagine that there can be some many creative ways to match baccalà (salted codfish) with such a variety of products, and especially that it can be so tender and not too salty. The chef, who treated us with great hospitality and attention, explained that not only he carefully selects the prime materials - the fish, but he also chooses the parts of baccalà according to the use he will make of it in the kitchen. We tried baccalà with peach jam and balsamic vinegar, with traditional tortelli with sweet ricotta, with bell peppers and what not! It's not easy to make a dinner from only one product, so that it doesn't feel boring but surely Lu Mmascarone are great at it. One can also order other fish there, but I would surely advice it to baccalà lovers. As the conversation was about wines, the Chef was very kind to just offer us a bottle of wine to try. The food is excellent, but maybe the most impressive thing about Lu Mmascarone for us was their warmth and hospitality.
