So on the basis of the TA ratings and a recommendation from our villa owner we ventured into Giulianova to try this place. It's situated on a road running away from the main road running along the beach and tucked away behind another building. The decor us unusual with a rather odd painted ceiling effect that didn't really work for me. Sadly it was difficult to see what the positive reviews are all about simply because the food was largely disappointing. Of the dishes ordered by our large party not one would merit significant praise. If anything there was an over-reliance on adorning the dishes with what looked like small crayfish. Impressive to look at but bereft of any real culinary value as they contain very little meat of minimal flavour. Disappointing

The seafood is unbelievable. Went after a day at the beach and order the combined appetizers and you get about ten different seafood plates including squid, shrimp, clams, anchovies. I probably shouldn't have ordered an entrée after the appetizers but I did. The "fritto misto" (mixed fried fish) was excellent. House wine is also good and the ambience is relaxed and festive but not noisy.

Located in the center of Giulianova high, at the foot of the Cathedral of San Flaviano you can taste the best seafood straight from the sea to your table, accompanied by local wines and craft beers.
Loved loved loved this restaurant, which was recommended to us by our host in Giulianova. The restaurant is situated in a picturesque square of the old town, with the white tablecloth-covered tables placed right on the cobbled street. We had the best surprise of having fresh delicious seafood, possibly best in all our 13 city trip through Italy. It was lightly dusted in flour and flash fried. Not greasy, still smelling of the sea. Amazing! We also had pasta with bacalao (salted cod) and hazelnuts and it was a very unique and memorable meal.P.S. At the end of the evening a thunderstorm began, and although we were less than a kilometer away we would've been soaked to the bone on the walk home. The owner of the restaurant was kind enough to drive us home. How amazing is that?

Since 1971, Lucia Restaurant offers day fresh fish and seafood dishes. Our up-to-date cuisine style is authentic and balanced: we only use extra fresh foodstuff. Roberto, the Restaurant owner, purchase everyday fresh fish and vegetables from local markets
Good food but what was outstanding - attitude to clients and high level of service. Wonderful vinelist, a lot of local vines. Rich starters, even bigger then it should be. A kind of a halfstep to haute cuisine - with interesting combinations of fish and fruits/sauses. I was surprised with strong ammonia smell of scampii claw, and the dish was replaced in a seconds. The rest was extremly good.

We ate very good pizza at Cilentano's; we suggest you this nice restaurant located in the street behind Hotel don Juan (10 minutes biking from campsites Don Antonio - Holiday - Adriatico). The ingredients of pizzas are very tasty and dough is very digerible. Personnel is very kind and prices are aligned with similar restaurant.

The place is a bit further from the touristic center of Giulianova, but it was definitely worth the drive. We decided to go there after reading reviews saying that locals go there for the last 30 years and they have never been dissapointed and we weren't either. The place has a nice menu, but there are no other dish that could compete with chef's speciality - grilled lamb on the spiers. Simply the best lamb dish I have ever tried!Another big reason for popularity among locals are prices - very affordable.Absolutely recommended!

Simple and nice. Easy food and good price. We eat a wonderful antipasti and a typical Italian bean soup. Nice and typical.
