When my sister and her husband were visiting, they wanted to have something really catalan. I suggested eating calçots! I found this place through trip advisor, as I was looking for a good place somewhere along our way to the Priorat. The place is in this little village, and park before getting there, cause there isn't any parking spot at the entrance and driving further makes your life really complicated. That said, more than worth it!! The service was impeccable, the calçots kept coming and were accompanied by a nice romesco sauce. Most of all, the meat dish after was like, what, we still get that much food??? And good food!!!37⬠for the menu might sound a bit overpriced, but they made it worth it!WOuld really recommnd this place to people who'll be in the neighborhood!

A great place to take shelter from the rain on an otherwise quiet Sunday evening. The food was delicious, and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The biggest problem, was I ate too much!Definitely give it a try if you are in town, but try to show up before 9pm as that is when all the locals arrive.

Wow! What an amazing experience! Sometimes you just get lucky and hit jackpot! That's Ca l'Angel, a place where you would not expect to eat as a gourmet, but each one of the three dishes we got were absolutely delicious. We started with the octopus leg, tender as it can be and sitting on top of a bed of mashed potatoes, it's just delicious. After that we had their pork belly with beans, another hit, crispy served with a side of beans still cooking in the cast iron pan they serve it with. Our last dish, the beef stew was my friends favorite, full of flavor it shreds just with the fork, as good as it gets. But if the food is amazing, the service is even better, the place is a family restaurant and you can tell they love what they do, they go out of the way to make you feel like home. If you are around the area, make sure you save a spot in your schedule to go there, you won't be disappointed.

We could not have found a better place for our first calcotada. Masia Fontscaldes is an incredibly welcoming place, run very professionally and which serves a fantastic calcotada. After we moved to Bcn for a few years we heard abt the calcotada and could not wait to experience it but had to wait a little bit as the season only starts in nov/ dec. The calcotada is a sort of bbq of calcots which are a cross between a leek and an onion. They are eaten grilled and dipped (after removing the charred skin) into a romesco sauce. You can eat as many calcots as you want and after the calcots come other grilled veggies and grilled meat and 2 deserts. needless to say, this is a big meal that lasts a few hours. We loved the experience and loved the calcots. Really recommend this experience. The meal is 30 euros and includes everything incl wine an vaca. Very much worth it given the unique experience, the quality and quantity of the food.

I probably ate at over 1000 restaurants across all continents in my busy life. I thought I had seen it all, from the disgusting to the exquisite. Well I was in for a surprise on this one.Et pourtant je suis français. Nobody is perfect: we cook everything, criticise the rest and aren't easy to please. This traditional food restaurant is adjacent to a hotel, in the middle of nowhere on the side of the road. They have a sandwich place and a restaurant. Don't take the wrong door. The menu is in 10 languages but just make sure to take the 32 euros menu. You will get to put on gloves. Fight charred onions. Dirty your shirt. Eat grilled beans and local sausages. Drink dry Cava. Enjoy a great Crema Catalana (or crème brûlée who was first on this one anyway??).OK the food is heavy and some will find it disgusting. But the taste is good, the sunset deck is right, the service is fine and the price is fair.So what else can you expect? Well Felix is about happiness isn't it?

Top place for the catalan tradition of the calçotada... calçots (wild spring onion) typically open the meal and are followed by plates of grilled vegetables and all manner of meats. The onions are served on clay roof tiles and consumed in a ritualistic manner, holding a calçot by its green inner stems and squeezing the tip of the onion leaving the fresh white onion in hand. Then itâs plunged into the romesco sauce, lifted high above the head and eaten. A real festival! muchas gracias por su visita.

This is an awesome restaurant, with the views to match. Wonderful service, with great attention to detail. I started with the Onion soup, opted for meat as mains and the local Creme Catalan for dessert, followed by coffee. All superbly cooked and delivered. I would definitely recommend this place for a great meal
