If you want authentic home cooked Catalan food, without the fancy finish, then this is the place for you. It takes a drive through the Ebro Delta rice fields to reach Deltebre and we recommend the lunchtime menu del dia (it is the only meal we've eaten there... But numerous times) At 10euros per head, with wine or water per person included, you'll never receive a better meal for the price and in tidy, interesting surroundings. The building has pots of flowers all around the outside, is well-maintained and the mother is an oil painting artist in her spare time (when? she is cook too) Her art is around the walls and her daughters and family members serve. Salad or juice to start, pasta or rice to follow, then tasty meat stews or wonderful fish or sepia-type meals offered, then basic desserts to follow. Even the coffee is rich and well made. Try it!

Restaurant located in a natural environment next to the Ebro River. Daily menu, special weekend menu and a wide variety of local products. Terrace by the river, musical chill-out night area, ideal to relax and take something drinks with your friends
The restaurant was recommended by a local and we were not disappointed. We had a beautiful fresh salad with fruit to share and one of the best “arroces” (paella if you must) I have ever had. Perfectly cooked and seasoned and all the seafood peeled! The service was very friendly and knowledgeable and we will be sure to come back next time we are in the area! Felicitats a tot l’equip! Thanks Lizzis! Un plaer :-)

Well, I was there fifteen years ago.... that is quite long ago. I remember it excellent. The ugly truth now is that the rice is fine on itself, but the base is too oily, and the squid is not cooked enough. The overall taste and the cooking of the rice is fine. The shellfish is fine and the dessert acceptable.... Impressive views though and the waiters very good. A little long to wait the rice...

Currently the restaurant Vista Mar has a rating of 3 stars, this is much less than I have experienced. I was now 8 times in this retaurant (outside the season, in the low and in the main season) and this retaurant is a clear recommendation on a constantly high level. You can have typical dishes form the area (e. g. eel canapés) as well as other dishes (e. g. roasted duck breast). Everything is fresh and very tasty. You can feel that the owners are cooking on their own. Also the service is excellent, even when all tables are packed, they are taking time for you when you ask for recommendations. So, to help this retaurant to come more close to a rating which would be more deserved than 3 stars, full 5 from our side.

Nice food with some local additions. Menu del dia offered in the evenings too which keeps costs down.

Delta del Ebro is an area with an unique ecosystem and where rice dishes are dominant for the simple reason that this is a great rice growing region. It is an area where natural produce is abundant all year around and where fish and seafood is queen. It is place where to enjoy the views of many aquatic migratory birds and the pleasant green fields of rice pads. Among the restaurants smacked right in the middle of the region is Casa Rius. It is at the edge of the main town (Deltebre), away from busy traffic and tour buses, and this gives it a charming setting next to the river bank with plenty of parking. There are many of competitors in the area but this one is hard to beat. To begin with the interior is appointed in a semiformal style with good taste and elegance. Yet, the center piece of its existence is the exquisite food where the term catch of the day for fish or seafood is to be taken literally. It is from the same day catch. The vegetables are crisp, the service friendly and extremely well informed as to details of the items in the carte. We had their special young fish fry and the clams "marinera" for appetizers topping it with their trade mark shrimp and artichokes rice (paella) as main dish. All were abundant and exquisite teaming with aroma and flavor that few other places can equal. The pricing was very good and the wine selection, although restricted to nearby regions, was very good and the waitress, Rebeca, really knows what she is doing and is attentive, cheerful and patient answering questions. In other words, this is a place which we intend to visit in future trips to Spain and highly recommend to our friends and acquaintances.

We had a few drinks but did not stay for anything to eat. The prices seemed a little high compared to other establishments in the area. The service was good and the restaurant is very well fitted out.If you're not on a tight budget then this would be a good place to visit overall.

We came here for the river cruise. We stopped for coffee, the restaurant looked nice so we booked a table. They have two seatings at 13.30h and 15.30h which is usually a sign of a great place...and yes, we weren’t disappointed. We started with a salad and calamaris and shared a seabass with marisco with a bottle of local white wine. Chef did an omelette and chips for our son. Too much to consider desert but we had coffee with the local cream rice liquor. The service was outstanding. There are more than 260 cover in this place but everyone worked brilliantly to meet our every expectation of a fabulous lunch. An excellent find.

We come here very often. At least once per month. I have tasted all kind of rice in the area but i always return to Mas Prades. Others have the fame but here you will appreciate the real taste of seafood paella. The price is very correct. The place is beautiful and the location perfect just in the middles of the Delta. Don't return home without having dinner here.
