This restaurant has a large terrace facing the sea, offers a select typical Spanish food. Its prices are affordable and the treatment is nice, pets are allowed.if you want to spend a pleasant time tasting exquisite specialties in food and drink in front o
Not the finest restaurant you will come across but it is great for lunch on the beach - try the lamb, the risotto, the goats cheese salad and the Greek wrap/crepe. Large portions and all served with a smile. We make a point of calling every year and never disappointed - even if only for a 'few' mid-afternoon drinks with feet trailing in the sand!

The owner of the restaurant was not very friendly (and he was even smoking inside the restaurant!!!) and the pizza was very bad (one of these pre-cooked frozen pizzas). And yet it was pretty "expensive" for a bad pizza. Also, unclean toilets without toilet paper (great)
Great restaurant with a massive choice of pizza and other Italian food. Staff are very friendly and hepful and the prices are good. Only slight negative is the choice of desert but stuffed after the pizzas anyway. Also do takeaways
PizzerÃa, cocina mediterránea y casera.
We went to Caliu because it was close to where we were staying. We didn't know anything about the restaurant and to be honest we didn't expect a lot. We were pleasantly surprised however by the warm service and the great quality of the pizza! The pizzas are "italian style" pizzas, almost on par with the best I've had at authentic italian big city restaurants.A few days later we went to the restaurant again to have some more pizza and red wine :-) That time our son had the fried shrimp and it was very good as well.

Quick review:Very disappointing - I would avoid - there's a much more appealing pizzeria further west from the venue on the same side of the road. Food was pricey for the quality and service was some of the poorest I've ever experienced. We're not serial moaners and are easily pleased but this place failed to hit the mark on so many levels....In depth:Disappointed with our visit to this venue and broke the first rule of eating out - be wary of empty restaurants - there's normally a reason why they're empty! We arrived shortly after opening hours and were the only ones there. A waiter laid our table - gave us our menus (but neglected to tell us English translations were at the back!). We were not even offered drinks why we perused. We spent maybe 15 minutes deliberating - still no drinks, no snacks or nibbles... And then we ordered. I asked for a mussels starter followed by Lasagne. The waitress returned to say that they had neither! An Italian restaurant without lasagne! So I deliberated some more and went safe with a pizza. We finally were offered some drinks (cans of Cola) with glasses but no ice or lemon and a few minutes later a tiny bowl of Walkers ready salted crisps appeared with some rather sad looking olives .... Disappointing Mains arrived. Pizzas looked good and were perfectly edible however the gnocchi was tasteless, poorly presented and looked like it had come out of a tin!We had to ask the waitress to supply us with some black pepper - as none was offered nor was any Parmesan or olive oil ... Really? an Italian restaurant? We began to eat ... It was OK but in my opinion not representative of the price we paid (around â¬10 per pizza) The waitress then began to have a loud conversation in the background on her mobile phone and was ** taking a selfie ** with us in the background as we ate ... Yes really ...There were lots of staff buzzing around cleaning and polishing but no other customers were to be seen anywhere in the hour and a half we sat there (see rule number one!!).No one checked with us half way through to see if food was ok ... And the waitress then began to clear other people's finished plates while others were still eating their meal.... Again? Basic waiting on skills were non existent. We were offered coffee and dessert, quickly declined - settled the bill and left. This place failed to hit the mark and I would avoid.

We visited twice during a 2 week break. A very traditional restaurant with good sea and beach views. The staff are engaging but they do not speak English fluently (though still better than my Spanish I must add). The food was good and we enjoyed our meals there.

With many options on the menu, with a nice atmosphere and located in a very beautiful garden, we expected way more from this restaurant. The waitress didn't speak English and the menu was in French and German, but this wouldn't have been a problem if she were friendlier. She never even smiled, she obviously ignored us on several occasions and was quite rude throughout the meal. The food was not better, either: the lasagna tasted too much like cheese and the pasta sauce was not tasty at all. The chicken was better, but still not great. Beware that the main dishes come with two side dishes (fries and spaghetti), so don't do the mistake I did ordering another side dish. The beer, however, was good.Another thing that puzzled us was that they had a very large dessert menu. I have ordered something that looked like a pudding or chocolate creme. I ordered it and it was an ice cream like you find at any supermarket, still in the box it was bought in and overfrozen. I would have expected a dessert actually made by the restaurant. Prices were very good, but you can get better value for the price.Best to avoid.

Wanted a take-away Pizza so stopped off and collected 3 Pizza, very good indeed, the base is thin and cooked in and a woo fired oven, topping were plentiful varied, really likes the Carne, the pizza isn't massive by other restaurants but its a perfect size for one hearty portion, 3 Pizza was â¬28 so good price as well.Whilst I've posted photo's they don't really do justice to the Pizza, they look a lot better in real life.
