Since our first visit in 2001 the owners, cooks and waiters at Moramar have delighted us with consistently good food, good service and good humour at fair prices. The restaurant has refurbished over the years but only to improve the decor and choice of seating in the no smoking era. From simple calamari or canellones, Catalan style, to lubina con sal, the fish dish supreme, or many great beef and lamb dishes, the staff at Moramar showcase the best of food from many different regions of Spain. If you are watching the budget come on Thursdays from 1.30 when the local workers get paid and feast on the best mixed Paella you will taste as a first course and you will have a second course of meat or fish or sausage plus dessert and wine for about 12 Euro . Afterwards, go lie on the beach or take a good walk among the pine trees ! We will return in Spring, as always.

We were tempted to visit this restaurant for lunch as it had a distinctive menu del dia and was particularly well patronised by local people. Indeed, it was one of busiest in Tarragona at the time. The well presented menu del dia was uncompromisingly Spanish. The service was friendly and efficient. Very good value. A gem.

Had fritura, which was average, and grilled vegetables, ok overall, stressed service, which may be ok for september, but asking to cancel a dish just two minutes after ordering and seeing the large portions was not possible, surely for profit reason, so a lot of food thrown away, which makes me sadder than medium fresh frying oil, nasty housewine (in Spain, how can you manageto get away! Only dutch, german and swiss may accept that, a nouveau beaujoulais or however that is spelt...).Price in line with the quality, ,Moderate!
The poor menu leaves few alternatives - so i ordered a burger. This was the most greasy and disgusting piece of meat I have ever encountered. Served with something like a beastâs gut on top - that gushed even more fat over it, and potatoes on the side. No vegetables at all - just a few cooked onion rings, and no bread. Now a few hours later I can still feel the greasy fat slowly moving itâs way down my intestines. Man that was utterly disgusting!Sorry to tell you that in our restaurant no greasy meat is served, however we take note of your comments to keep improving.

As a family of six we were made to feel very welcome, and the staff, including our waiter Alex, were attentive and friendly. Calimari, pizzas and risotto were all well presented and tasty. All in all a very enjoyable experience in a lovely spot by the sea. Would recommend!Thank you !!

Found this restaurant almost by accident, whilst walking round the old town. The outside tables were full so we sat inside. The resturant is quite small but the quality of the food is five star. We had a mixture of tapas dishes, all cooked to order and presented superbly. It was without doubt, the best tapas that we had during five weeks travelling round Spain.

Having read a couple of negative reviews on TripAdvisor, I was slightly apprehensive about going here however, in the end, we had a very good experience. For 15â¬, we were provided with a tasty 3-course meal with wine and water. What stood out more than anything was the excellent service; the waiters were friendly, helpful and efficient.

Terrace at the beach We got this tip from Spanish friends. On the end of the boulevard with a nice view at the beach. We had paella and a glass of wine. Reasonably priced and good paella.

Your beachside oasis in the beautiful seaside town of Altafulla. The best Spanish cuisine, for midday or evening meals. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Spent 12 nights in Altafulla in July. We found our favourite restaurant called Polini Bar and Restaurant. There are actually 2 Polini restaurants close to each other but the Bar and Restaurant was our favourite. Myles and Roberto were so welcoming. The food was excellent with plenty of variety although we fell in love with the Potatas Bravas - best we have every tasted. Great Tapas, fish dishes and good wine. The tables are situated right on the beach and its such a relaxing place to dine. We would highly recommend Polini
