It was a hot night. The last one of the holiday and we wanted somewhere special. I Templari was the right choice. Now that the restaurant has made an airy Terrace outside, it's the best restaurant in Martina to look out over the medieval Gardens and the Valley. The inside is pretty too but perhaps best in winter.
Antipasti are usually special in Puglia, a chance to have a mini tasting menu, when done well. The Templari's are epic and tasty - a great mix for vegetable and meat lovers both. When we thought we had finished, the waitress asked if we would like to repeat a favourite (we asked for tempura scamorza and fab parma ham with the new season's figs). THEN, clean plates and a selection of cheeses with honey/balsamic/quince and puree of fave and chicory & pepperoncini. Because it was so hot, we'd checked that it was alright to just have antipasti beforehand. It was. Just as well!

I went to this restaurant with my family to celebrate my mum's birthday and we were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food & service!
Simone, the owner (and chef), and his staff are very passionate and they make you feel at home!
If you're in this part of Italy, a visit to Al Borgo Antico is a must!
Highly recommended!

Went here for dinner with family. Sat outside, very nice and quiet setting (bring mosquito spray though). We took their standard menu (but they were very flexible for the kids). 4 course menue with wine and water for €25...can't complain...especially as I was almost stuffed after the anti-pasti. All locally grown, everything has good flavour, no need for seasoning. Simple but tasty dishes. One waitress for the whole...could have done with another one once it was full.
Wine was house wine, not the best I had in the area but it fitted with the dishes.
The made smaller plates for the kids at request and even changed the pasta.
It's really in the middle of field but the setting as such is very nice. Kids can run around. If you go during the day you can visit the animals.
Good trip, worth the visit.

The ambience was incredible. The service was very professional and accomodating. We never had to ask for anithing. The food was all incredible, all made in house. Each dish was unique and worked so well together. Definitely worth finding the time to go. I can't wait to go back!

Stumbled upon this place by chance, and was really impressed - the pasta dishes were the best we had in Puglia, and the service was great too. Would highly recommend, and if I find myself in Massafra again then I would struggle not to return...MoreDear Stephen, Thank you very much for your feedback. I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit at our Restaurant! We look forward to welcoming you back soon and we hope that You will be able to taste other Chef specialties! Sincerely, Mariella

Hidden gem in Puglia. Owners were very accommodating to our two young children though it is more a couples restaurant. Good was very special- focused menu of meat / fish yet everything very delicate and tasty. Nice local wine suggestion by the glass. Highly recommend. Outstanding value for money.

Gentilezza e cortesia.
Bravi ragazzi continuate così!

Food is genuine and tasty both meat and fish..we have been eating every night. Average 30eur/pax we'll spent. Arcangelo and his family know how to pamper customers and we felt as part of it. Antonio the waiter is a solid support. Thanks

Simple, tasty, and healthy dishes made to order using fresh local products. Caters to many different food allergies including people intolerant to nickel. Convenient location, comfortable setting with local products for sale (even published poetry books written by the owner).
