A visit to the Bistro is the ideal way to refresh yourself after a visit to the museum or if you are simply passing by. Located in the former Habsburg officersâ mess at the heart of the Franzensfeste complex, the Bistro serves regional and seasonal dishes
Very nice cafe in historic surroundings. The staff is friendly and you can sit in the courtyard. Another huge advantage the roofs are covered in light night rods as the the Franzenfeste used to be an arms and gun powder depot for hundreds of years⦠No need to be afraid of lighting .. always good news..

We were welcomed and experienced very nice food (pizzeria and ravioli), handmade prepared by their pizzaiolo Helmut. The price was also not too dear. The wines were excellent. The scenery was, on the terrace, a house and a field of corn...
We stayed here in July 2019 as part of a kind of honeymoon / activity holiday combo. The Oberhauser Hutte is run by three generations of the same family, and you can tell they really care about the business. The manager is super welcoming and friendly, and the whole place has a really natural friendly vibe. The food is really exceptional - we had amazing South Tyrolian dishes every night, and each one was incredible. Cooked to perfection by the younger brother of the family, served with flowers Iâm pretty sure weâre picked by the grandmother! The location is great too, there is a nice easy 5k hike on the doorstep, which takes you through a set of outdoor art installations. There are also more intermediate and advanced hikes over the hills and to the gorgeous Dolomite mountains. Itâs a really good base for exploring South Tyrol, and to relax with a beer after a good hike.Pro tip: try the zirbenshnaps. Trust me.

Whether restaurant, brewery "Stube" (lounge), pub, lounge or beer garden - we are a great venue for every occasion. We look forward to seeing you soon at our cosy, rustic brewery pub.
Good pizza and also microbrewery. The place waa really busy but they still managed to make the pizza quickly. Overall really good.

In the Gourmetstube Einhorn our chef Peter Girtler creates exclusive sensations for the palate whereas in the Gasthofstube Stafler old South Tyrolean recipes are combined with ideas from modern Italian cuisine, resulting in deliciously original creations.
We stayed here one night on the way home and we enjoyed our stay very much.Although we came for the Einhorn restaurant the rooms in the hotel, the garden, the sauna and especially the service of the staff we appreciated highly. The hotel price is very reasonable when compared with e.g. the center of Merano where we stayed in two hotels. From 15 to 17 hrs there is free tea and coffee with sweets. The breakfast in the morning is great, eggs in any form you wish, fruit, cakes, cheeses, meat, espresso/cappuccino, tea, juice, very complete! What made a nice surprise was that when we just finished our breakfast we got a small birthday cake (the staff had noticed from my passport that it was my birthday): it tasted delicious. The two star restaurant Einhorn is worth it's rating. Two menus to choose from (or the combination of both) and superb wines accompanying the dishes. We had an enjoyable evening. We will probably go back during our next holiday in the area.Dear guest, thank you that you take the time to write such a fantastic valuation about our hotel. We are very happy that you enjoyed the holiday and that everything was fine!We would be glad to give you our warm welcome antother time! With the best regards,Family Stafler

This restaurant is a great place if you have smaller children. There's a special section where they sit families that has a really elaborate play room. My daughter loved it and spent almost all of the time playing there with other little kids. The food is also good and reasonably priced. This is really a local place rather than one catering to tourists so your pocketbook will be happy about that. The pizzas are excellent and the local specialties they serve are also very good..

The Decantei is a newly-conceived South Tyrolean Restaurant, which combines the sociability and openness of a tavern with high-quality, modern-traditional cuisine. Our kitchen is simple and inspired by the traditional South Tyrolean cuisine. Our beer sele
Very interesting and stylish place with good quality food and drinks. The staff is very polite and accurate at their job. I very much appreciated the fact they served little appetizers with my aperitivo, which seems to be an optional in this area. There are two nice courtyards to one side and the other of the restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant.Dear amohel2016,thank you for your review! We love to hear that you liked our architecture, atmosphere, our food, and the drinks. We are very happy to pass on your compliments to our stuff. :) I hope to see you again soon. Best wishes, the Decantei team

Right next to the slopes and the bottom station of the Jochtal ski-region is our family business, the bar Pizzeria and restaurant Muhle in Valles in South Tyrol. The well-being of our guests, both adults and children, is particularly important to us here
We had dinner at this restaurant on our first night in Valles. It was so bad that we never went back, and we regretted spending one of our evenings there. I had the four-cheese pizza, which was more like a cheese fondue - the cheese was like a soup in the middle of the crust. My wife, who has a gluten-free diet, had the only gluten-free option on the menu: Spätzle. It was like porridge for babies - very bland and with a slimy consistency. I guess people go here for the apres-ski. That may be OK - the bar looked like it was hopping. Don't go here for a nice meal, though.
